Continuity mistake: After Mr. Palmer walks over and tries to pick up Claude Mulvihill's gun (which Jack kicks away) we see Jack's hat on his left. In the next shot as Jake picks it up it's now on his right. (01:19:40)
Continuity mistake: When Hadrian jumps the mustang over the upturned car, the film slows down to show the jump in slow motion. When the car lands, it hits so hard the car spins around and ends up facing the cars it jumped. The scene is then repeated at normal speed, but just as the car would be shown spinning out, a shot of the car driving away from the accident is shown.
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene in which Zed & his fellow exterminators chase down several brutals on the beach, tire tracks from the camera vehicle can be seen briefly imprinted in the wet sand.
Visible crew/equipment: When Stuart Margolin closes the car's door at the airport after putting the going-away present in Charles Bronson's suitcase, the camera's shadow is seen in the door.
Revealing mistake: In the office tower after the quake there is a panic and workers rush down the stairs only to find them fallen away. After two women fall to their death a man is left hanging on a girder, but falls onto a giant piece of glass. Look at the top of the frame and you will see the airbag shooting our from under it.
Continuity mistake: There are a number of scenes (stable house, car, hotel) showing Claudia wearing a green harness dress. It is quite obvious that she is not wearing a brassiere in all of those scenes. In the hotel room, where Foxy and Claudia meet the judges, Claudia removes the green dress and is now wearing a bra. It would be highly unlikely that she would be putting one on, at the same time she is getting undressed. This was obviously done to cut down on nudity in the film. (00:41:30 - 00:47:45)
Visible crew/equipment: In the scene where Herb Edelman is explaining to Richard Jordan exactly whom Robert Mitchum is going to see, a microphone can be seen at the bottom of the screen, just under the low coffee table.
Continuity mistake: When Nicole takes Whitfield for his first ride in Herbie, the car rears up onto its back wheels. But in the very next shot of Whitfield's startled reaction, the rear-screen projection of the street behind them is footage taken from a level view, not an elevated one. (00:15:50)
Continuity mistake: During the battle at the convent, one of the Cardinal's guards takes aim with his matchlock musket, is shot by Portos, and falls - along with his gun - into a hay wagon. But if you watch the falling scene closely, it is evident that only the man ends up in the hay; the gun should have fallen some place to the left of the wagon.
Continuity mistake: When Eve is making a special treat and it starts on fire. She sprays a fire extinguisher onto it. It shows foam covering only one side of the food. Then, it shows the food again a few seconds later and it is completely covered. (01:01:50)
Factual error: Right after George Wilson kills himself with the revolver, the gun is seen falling into the fish pond in Gatsby's living room. Since Wilson shot himself in the head by placing the gun to the roof of his mouth, there is no possible way the gun could have flown so far away from his body, especially without getting bloody.
Continuity mistake: When evil Swan hands the contract to the Swan who's about to kill himself, Swan grabs the contract out of E.S hands, yet in the next shot, E.S is still holding it.
Visible crew/equipment: When Tim and Sid call at Jacqui's house, the camera lights are reflected in the front windows.
Other mistake: When Sir Anthony Hopkins (playing Johnny McLeod) is awaiting the arrival of the suspected bomber O'Neill (played by Cyril Cusack), a funny mistake occurs. Cusack sees Hopkins, smiles and greets him with a cheerful "Hello, Tony!" instead of "Hello, Johnny!" Being a pro, Hopkins doesn't blink an eye!
Continuity mistake: Blore is reluctant to admit his guilt. He stands up but the Judge bangs his cane angrily on the floor and Blore sits down again. The candles in front of the Judge have a different length between shots. (01:07:40)
Visible crew/equipment: In the apartment scene with Dustin Hoffman and Valerie Perrine, he prances in front of a vanity mirror, and a big boom microphone is right over his head, hanging deep into the shot, reflected in the mirror. The boom microphone is quickly retracted, so they knew they had made a mistake, but the shot remained in the finished film.
Factual error: As the airship approaches Astragard it's headed due North; yet the distant clouds are backlit by the Sun. The Sun should be to the South.
Revealing mistake: During the chase that opens the movie, the guy trying to escape shuts the door labeled "Back Stage" behind him. The various goons try to push it open, but only the badass villain with the charismatic afro can do it using his palm strikes. Sort of though, because just before he shows up in front of the door, you can see the door was unlocked and opened under the push of the normal minions, with the light fully showing between door and frame. (00:03:10)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, Irwin Ingham's big scarf is wrapped around his neck in ever-changing fashion as it can be spotted looking at the striped area being at different height each time. (00:03:40)
Continuity mistake: When Buster and Billie are at Slim Mim's Jamboree near the end of the film, Buster is wearing an open-collar shirt. When they step outside to get some air, it changes to a button-down shirt and tie.
