Continuity mistake: When Sgt. Peterson is standing on top of the corrugated tin under the helicopter, his safety strap attached to the helicopter appears & disappears between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Finian and Og are talking in the forest, Og is kneeling on a log. He leans over and falls into the river. You can see him completely submerged. He stands up and continues his conversation with Finian while standing in the river and his hair is now completely dry.
Continuity mistake: During the roller skate rag number, Barbara Streisand falls and her curls in the back of her wig become loose, and when she stands up they are perfect.
Continuity mistake: During the song "Hey Bulldog," before the song starts the dogs are on a leash barking. When the song starts and the dogs stop barking, the leash disappears.
Continuity mistake: Many times, especially in the second half of the movie, the background color changes between shots even in two shots of the same set.
Continuity mistake: About 15 minutes in, Yaphet Koto and another man are in an elevator; there are hostages on the floor. Yaphet pulls a glove onto his left hand, but, in the next shot of him, he again pulls a glove onto his left hand, and then yet again he pulls a glove onto his left hand. The same hand three times.
Continuity mistake: When the sub surfaces at Zebra it is shown running up a tower. When we next switch to a close-up there is no tower and it is running up an antenna.
Continuity mistake: Just after the opening credits, Gregg Parker arrives at a fire site, in a helicopter, with a woman he met on a plane. He has a conversation with Chance Buckman as the rotor on the copter slows down to a near stop. As the conversation continues, they cut to a slightly different shot, with the copter still in the field of view, only the rotor is now turning quite rapidly.
Continuity mistake: When we see Norman standing by the desk in his boss' office, you can see there is nothing in front of the boss on his desk, but when we see the boss in the next shot, a piece of paper suddenly appears.
Continuity mistake: Joe Bass, freshly robbed by the Indians, is asking the slave "You come a long way from home, you ran away?" In his hand is a bottle of liquor with the cork on. Change shot, the bottle is open. New change, and now the bottle is closed again. (00:08:00)
Continuity mistake: Throughout the stagecoach scene (when Silence meets the Sheriff and Loco) the number of horses attached to the back of the coach changes a number of times. Sometimes there is one horse, sometimes two. (00:25:44)
Continuity mistake: The girl named Why is in the bathtub. Frédérique brought her a cup of tea that she indignantly put aside because it had an excess 1/2 sugarcube. She put the cup to the edge of the tub with the spoon facing one direction, but during the conversation the spoon turns 180° on its own during a cut. (00:07:40)
Continuity mistake: During the opening credits, Charles Bronson is walking along the pier, carrying his bag over his left shoulder. He stops in a separate shot, grinning at the camera and tossing the highball glass he was carrying into the sea (as soldiers normally do). In this same shot, he switches the bag to his right hand. Back to the previous angle, and Bronson is again walking with his bag over his left shoulder, like nothing happened. (00:01:15)
Continuity mistake: When Freya and Matt escape from Contini's chateau and board Matt's chopper, Freya is wearing white flats with short black heels, but after the chopper lands atop the trailer on Contini's train Freya's shoes are completely flat.
Continuity mistake: When Gregor and Willie are attacked by the German convoy, they pick up two discarded StG 44s, but in th next scene they are firing AK-47s which had not yet been invented. After the battle, they are again carrying StG 44s.
Continuity mistake: Throughout the movie, Alan Arkin is carrying in his breast pocket a Cross Chrome pen to write messages with on his pad. (He is a deaf mute.) But in the scene where he is on the porch with Sondra Locke and he is drawing a picture for her, he pulls that pen out of his pocket, yet when the scene cuts to a different angle showing him actually drawing on his pad, it is a thick, black felt tip pen. Continuity mistake: When Thorndyke is squirting oil at Havershaw in the garage towards the end of the movie, the amount of oil on Thorndyke's right shoulder changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: The ford transit van used by the demolition men Ron and Mr Perry changes between scenes from a long wheelbase van reg no. KGX107D to a standard van reg no. OYO576F.
