Continuity mistake: In this scene we see John Wayne and others milking goats. The goats then get startled by a baby elephant and Wayne falls backwards on to the ground and you can see he takes the bowl with his right hand and the milk is thrown out of the bowl. In the next shot of him close up the bowl is on his head like a helmet when the bowl never even went on his head as he fell backwards. (01:09:20)
Revealing mistake: The professor has a blowout, but all four tires on the car are fine. (02:04:30)
Continuity mistake: As Shirley Jones is singing "In love with Me" at one point, she's sitting down, and is slouching back. The shot changes to the side, and she's sitting up straight, and is much higher against the counter than she was. Her hands have changed position as well, she's no longer holding onto the cup she had in her left hand. (01:19:55)
Audio problem: When John Wayne has his back turned and tells the newspaper man "print that and he will kill you sure as hell", you can tell by the side of John Wayne's face that he isn't really saying anything.
Continuity mistake: When Sid James is trying to make his favourite alcoholic drink, an "Aberdeen Angus" he discards the wrong mixture into a vase. You see that the vase is filled up to the top but then in the next shot the vase is only half filled and is a different colour!
Continuity mistake: Approximately 46 minutes into the film, Robert Preston is testing a new bullwhip. The whip is in his left hand as he brings his arm back and cracks the whip. He brings the left arm back for a second crack, and the shot changes to a closer angle just as he brings the whip down, only now it is suddenly in his right hand and not the left. The editing, the sound effect, the arm swing all seem perfectly coordinated, except that the whip changed hands between camera set-ups.
Continuity mistake: During the dinner scene with Bligh, Christian, Young and Fryer, watch the wedge of cheddar cheese magically change size.
Revealing mistake: When a girl is shot in the back with an arrow she falls on her face. When she's turned face up, the long arrow is gone.
