Continuity mistake: The Bismarck is sighted by a British agent in southern Norway, sailing out of the Baltic into the North Sea - east to west. But the view through the agent's binoculars shows the ship sailing from right to left on the screen - which would be sailing west to east from the point of view of an observer on the Norwegian coast.
Continuity mistake: In the final fight scene between John Wayne and the bad guy, Wayne gets struck in the head, and as he falls backwards over the wagon tongue his toupee lifts off.
Continuity mistake: McQueen and Brynner take a hearse up the hill to deliver a coffin to the graveyard. When they go back down the hill, you can see a plume fall off one of the horses' heads, but in the next shot, the plume is back on. (00:16:05)
Continuity mistake: In the scene after Janet Leigh is killed Norman goes into Cabin one and starts mopping. He puts the mop in front of the bed for a second. Through the mirror you can see the mop fall when he put it down, but when he goes back to get it, the mop is up again.
Continuity mistake: In an early scene Travis and Dickenson are in Travis's office. Travis goes to the mantel, gets a cigar and pours himself a glass of sherry. In a later scene, when Travis meets Crockett in the cantina he refuses a drink from Crockett claiming he doesn't drink, ever.
Continuity mistake: Before Pollyanna arrives on the train, when Jimmy Bean pushes the metal hoop down the road, two girls stop their doll carriages right beside each other and grab their dolls, but in the next shot their carriages are about 4 feet apart, which is now wide enough for Jimmy to run between. Continuity mistake: When the men find the tracks of the dinosaur, the indent is flat and rounded, but when Frosty the poodle finds the dinosaur that made the tracks, its feet are skrawny and have pointy claws, which don't show up in the tracks.
Continuity mistake: When the Jeep at the head of the army convoy starts off again, after being stopped at the temporary traffic lights set up by the crooks, the external shots show the Jeep passing the traffic lights. But the next shots from inside the Jeep show them passing the traffic lights a second time.
Continuity mistake: Seymour watches in horror as the wino is run over by the train. In the long shots, Seymour's hands are waving up and down at his sides. In closer shots, however, he's holding his hands up to his face and screaming.
Continuity mistake: When Cary Grant tells Deborah Kerr to keep the door closed, she is holding a record album. As a reaction to his directive, she lowers the LP to about waist level. The camera shot changes and she's holding the LP higher again. (00:27:55)
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Lulu Bains is prancing around in the dressing room, there is one steady shot of her. In this shot, as she moves around, the right strap on her outfit begins to slip off her shoulder. The shot ends by her side with the strap completely down her mid-bicep; however, in the very next shot, which is from the front, her right strap is back up, and it's her left strap which is halfway down. The print wasn't reversed to this effect, either.
Continuity mistake: When Sgt. Wilkins and P.C. Thurston go on patrol in the police car, it's registration number varies between scenes, from 892FPC to UUV133. (00:38:15 - 00:45:40)
