Continuity mistake: In the scene where John Basilone goes looking for his friend Manny. Basilone has 3rd degree burns on his left forearm and left hand but in the shot he is walking through the jungle holding a pistol tightly in his left hand and his canteen is on his right side as he walks past a group of trees. The next shot he is continuing walking through the jungle but the gun is in his right hand (which isn't burned) and his canteen has also switched sides as he walks past the same group of trees.

Continuity mistake: When Hina is talking with Su-mi in the reception, she calls for a worker holding a tray of beer bottles. In the shot where the worker walks up to them, the bottle shown towards the right side of the tray is in a position where the label is facing towards Hina. When the camera changes angles, the bottle is now in a position where the label is facing the opposite direction. (00:55:53)

Continuity mistake: After the Captain and Corporal get out of the cave, they see the Sarge and Jane have ropes on Black Devil. He gets away with their ropes around his neck. He peeks around the rock, and the ropes are suddenly gone. The mare comes after with a rope on her neck that also disappears magically between angles.

In the later meeting with the King in which the D-Day plans are announced, he is correctly wearing that of the lower rank of general. In fact, Montgomery was promoted from general to field marshal on 1 September 1944, nearly three months after D-Day.
