Trivia: On the episode where Smithy goes AWOL after learning he's to be a father, Gavin, Mick and Bryn go searching for him in the car. They decide to visit the drive-thru where Rudi works to see if she has any idea. Before Rudi comes over to the window, there is a big woman who calls for her. This woman is James Corden's (Smithy's) sister in real life. She's called Ruth, which is also Smithy's sister's name (Rudi is her nickname).
Trivia: The anime TV series, originally scheduled to debut on Japanese television in October 2001, was delayed in respect for the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. The Japanese release of an anime TV series about teenagers fighting international terrorists was considered tactless so soon after the attacks against the U.S. by international terrorists. It was released January 8, 2002, three months after its originally announced premier date.
Trivia: Peter Billingsley of "A Christmas Story" plays Gideon in this episode. This was his television debut at age 11.

Before becoming an actress, Camryn Manheim actually worked as a sign language interpreter and job trainer/placement specialist for the deaf. She also used her sign language skills in an episode of "Law and Order" called "Benevolence," where she portrayed a defense attorney for a deaf man accused of murdering his girlfriend.

Trivia: Daily Mail journalist Frederick McKenzie takes a photo of the Righteous Army, which is stated to be the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. This photo is a direct recreation of a real-life photo of the Righteous Army, taken by Frederick McKenzie (who was a real-life war journalist) and is to date, the only existing photo of Korea's freedom fighters. Trivia: In this episode, Matthew becomes obsessed with the comic strip "Dilbert." At the end, Dave has an actor friend pretend to be Scott Adams, creator of "Dilbert", to get Matthew to quit the job at the coffee shop. The real Scott Adams appeared in the beginning of the show, in line at the coffee shop where Matthew first discovers "Dilbert."

Trivia: In Sex And The City, when Carrie is talking about Natasha, she angrily says, "Say hi to Najinski or whatever her name is..." In this episode, in the will, she's named as Natasha Najinski.
