Plot hole: Mater tells McQueen he moved and looked like he just saw the Ghostlight. Sheriff gets on to Mater for talking about the Ghostlight and then their whole plan falls into place to trick and scare Mater with the blue lantern. Only there's no way they would have known that Mater would have mentioned the Ghostlight after that. McQueen didn't know about it, supposedly. And he had been scared by Mater and had been there enough that he would have known if Mater had mentioned it before, and Mater would have known he told McQueen. (00:01:55)
Plot hole: When we first see the reanimated Sparky, his head's sewed on. While that makes him look a bit like the traditional Frankenstein monster, it doesn't make a lot of sense - the original monster had stitches on its neck because it was made from multiple body parts, but it's not like they sawed the dog's head off after it died...
Suggested correction: Do we ever see how much damage the car did?
Plot hole: Early in the movie, the principal from Precious' school buzzes Mary's apartment intercom to talk to Precious about alternative education. In order to hear what the teacher is saying Precious has to press the 'Listen' button, but occasionally the teacher can be heard speaking through the intercom even when Precious isn't holding the listen button.
Plot hole: When Oliver attempts to lift the drain grille in order to get the drunk's car key, he claims it is too heavy. Yet when Stan gets his umbrella stuck down there, Oliver manages to lift the grille without any effort.
Suggested correction: Ollie doesn't say too heavy, he just says "this thing is heavy."
Plot hole: Cruise leaves Lugnut to go buy he and Coupe some seats and mere seconds after leaving, Coupe appears in the scene and talks with Lugnut. Coupe asks if he has seen Cruise, but even if Cruise had already left to go buy tickets, Coupe would have already seen him when approaching Lugnut since she only arrived seconds after he left.
