Revealing mistake: There is a short section where a U.S. soldier hops a rugged looking stone wall in France. As he goes over the wall, it moves back and forth a bit as if made of styrofoam and wood.
Revealing mistake: While Noro, a member of a shoeless society, is doing his uphill training you get a glimpse of his shoes, in spite of all efforts to hide his feet in the grass. (00:53:30)
Revealing mistake: When they find the paper map sticking out the Iraqi soldier's bottom it is neatly rolled up and straight. One should imagine it being quite crumpled after having spent some time in this particular hiding place. (00:08:00)
Revealing mistake: In the opening scene as the characters play a game of hurling, a farm is visible in the background, at the foot of the mountain. The farm buildings near the farmhouse are much too large and modern to have been constructed in 1920's Ireland.
Revealing mistake: Kirsten Dunst's contact lenses can be seen multiple times during close-ups.
Revealing mistake: In the big temple finale, you can see that huge blocks of stone are bouncing around as they hit the floor.
Revealing mistake: While the soldiers are putting the corpses of Eva Braun and Adolf Hitler in the ground outside the bunker to be cremated, one of their legs moves.
Revealing mistake: There are several scenes (most notably when the group is ambushed at Mt. Suribachi) where the bayonets attached to the guns bend back and forth showing them to actually be rubber instead of metal.
Revealing mistake: You can see Jackie's knuckles are already bloody BEFORE she starts pounding on the closet door.
Revealing mistake: When the village where Pran is hiding as a servant is bombed, you see a lot of stuntmen performing elegant jumps as if they were doing gymnastics, some long after the impact of the bomb would have hit them. (01:56:50)
Revealing mistake: The scene right after Mrs. Moore delivers the first batch of telegrams shows Lt. Col. Moore kneeling beside several "dead" soldiers. I could see at least the first four breathing.
Revealing mistake: Tuptim's, the king's new concubine's hair is a very obvious wig. The reason may be that for the second half of the film she had to shave her head and the scenes weren't shot in order. (00:32:00)
Revealing mistake: At the beginning of the movie Geoffrey organises an ambush on a group of infantrymen marching on a pristine beach. When the second group of horsemen attacks there are already tracks in the sand, obviously from previous takes. (00:08:55)
Revealing mistake: At the cave near the end, there are several scenes with the secretary of the interior. These scenes with the main actors appear to be filmed in front of the background as they cast shadows on the other film and the lighting is different. This was most likely done because of budget limitations.
Revealing mistake: In the scene in which Alan Shepard is about to land his jet on the aircraft carrier, the plane seen from the outside is a single-seat A-4 attack plane. But inside the cockpit actor Scott Glenn lowers his sunshade, and reflected on the shade can be seen the wings of a two-seat jet trainer, the T-33A.
Revealing mistake: When Porthos shoots the assassin with a crossbow, he is a good distance below him. But when you see the assassin grab the bolt, it is straight in his body as if he'd been shot level.
Revealing mistake: A man gets killed and is lying dead on the porch of a commoner. When the man who lives in the house picks up the dead man, the dead man moves his foot, and it's very obvious that he is alive. (02:22:10)
Revealing mistake: While Frost is on the hotel balcony talking on the phone to Brennan, it is clear the phone receiver is not attached to anything.
Revealing mistake: When Corporal Bin's group of men eventually arrive at Dunkirk, they speak to a soldier adding sandbags to a Vicker's gun position. Here (and later on in the film when it is shown firing) it has a blank-firing adaptor prominently fitted to the front. Additionally the belt of ammunition shown going through it is filled with blanks - no bullets project outside the other side to that of the actual cartridge cases.
Revealing mistake: Right after Father Alvito hands Blackthorne the Portuguese-Japanese dictionary, the Jesuit priests leave Blackthorne and his entourage to continue their journey onto the port of Nimazu. You can see the orange-robed clerics walk along a track that was obviously used by wheeled vehicles. You can see grass growing in the middle of the dirt road and none in the grooves. But in an earlier scene Father Alvito stated that only the Emperor was allowed to drive in a wheeled cart which he only did it on rare occasions for ceremonial purposes and for short distances as this would otherwise damage the roads (as the grooves testify).
