Other mistake: When the Grinch is cutting Max's antler, the pieces that have fallen on the floor suddenly jump several inches closer to Max.
Other mistake: The tree used to hold up Number 2 is very thin and weak looking, yet it supposed to be supporting a 400lb robot. Strong tree. (01:13:25)
Other mistake: During the climactic moment when they're defeating the book, Jason shoves the key into the lock, sealing the evil within. However, he shoves the key into the lock upside down.
Other mistake: When Claw steals a whole bunch of gold, there seems to be a lot in there. First: How did he get so much gold in there with so little time? They seemed to have been throwing around the gold coins and stuff not to have enough time to do that. Second: Later in the movie you get an above look while they are trying to escape Inspector Gadget, there is less gold in the truck than there was earlier.
Other mistake: Merlin says, "Man will fly someday". For a few frames after he says this, his thumb on his pipe is painted blue, then returns to its normal color. This causes a blinking effect.
Other mistake: Isn't it weird how in the final scene with the 2 pirate ships, both of these ships are continuously blasting their cannons at each other, yet the sides of the ship show little to no damage throughout the entire battle? You would think that the parts of the ship that are in the direct line of fire would get hit.
Other mistake: Although the film's story covers the better part of a year, Dakota Fanning's permanent upper frontal incisor (permanent tooth) is just beginning to emerge. At the end of the film. months and months later, her tooth is still just beginning to emerge.
Other mistake: In the part where Josh is sweeping the basketball court behind the church you notice that there are faded white paw prints. Then later when Josh is painting it Buddy walks directly on the white prints. Were these there to show Buddy where to walk?
Other mistake: Just after the valley floods, Manny is seen pushing a log to pry the rock out blocking Ellie's way out. You can notice that Manny is pushing it the wrong way. (01:08:40)
Other mistake: When the girls leave camp, if you look closely it is obvious that one of the girls (the one in the distance) is a double who does not look like Susan / Sharon at all.
Other mistake: When Tod is going outside to see a statue of himself, as he gets closer to the door he runs into it, but he actually jumps at the door.
Other mistake: Towards the end two dark faes help up the soldiers in iron armor. They, don't seem to suffer any negative effects, despite iron being harmful to the dark faes. (01:41:21)
Other mistake: When Preston puts the VR headset on Beiderman, he reacts in a very strange manner. Yes, it's better for the movie, but it doesn't make sense in-universe, as it would take very little effort to simply lift the headset off to remove it.
Other mistake: When Martha May is getting ready to put up her lights with the cannon, she pulls a charging handle, and starts firing. If you watch closely, you see a lit string of lights come out, but the spool that they're on isn't moving, or lit up. Then after all of the lights are out, it still fires several more times (watch the aiming indicator- it continues to flash with the sound).
Other mistake: When The Chipettes perform their audition for Ian Hawke they are standing on the Jett Records sign on the roof of the Jett Records building. In order for the sign to read correctly from the street, Ian and The Chipettes should have a backwards view of the lettering. In the movie the sign reads correctly from Ian and The Chipettes point of view, meaning that it is giving a backwards view to the street, ie. it is the wrong way round.
Other mistake: Near the beginning, Scrooge leaves Scrooge & Marley and walks home. As a result Bob Cratchit and the book keepers clean up and Bob Cratchit locks up with a key. Yet the next day when Scrooge gives gifts to the other book keepers, not only is Scrooge able to get inside without a key, the door is unlocked as well. (00:16:45 - 01:16:05)
Other mistake: When they first arrive at the North Pole, one of the elves appears to be sliding along. His legs and arms are not moving, and his head is not bobbing up and down.
Other mistake: They live in Los Angeles. When they left to go to Patusan, the scene showed a map and a toy ship with someone's hand guiding the ship along. On the ship they came from the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal, to the Pacific then onto Patusan. How did they start from the Atlantic when they lived in Los Angeles?
Other mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Kate is going through old tapes recorded by her dad on a TRV280 handicam. The second tape shows her as a baby in her dad's arms and it's dated Dec 25 2007. She starts a recording on a leftover blank tape and we see the date; Dec 24 2018. Her brother taunts her holding the camera out of her reach and tells her "You're 10 years old. Almost 11!", and she asks "So?" She should have said "You jerk, you don't even know my age?" She is 11 already. (00:01:00 - 00:04:15)
Other mistake: In the last game, Chet pitches six innings ("You gave me six great innings!"), then Henry takes over pitching, meaning he'd be pitching in the 7th inning. Sounds good, until we fast forward to the 9th, with Heddo batting with two outs... Assuming Henry was perfect, Heddo would be the 9th batter Henry faced, meaning he would've been Chet's last out in the 6th, which of course he wasn't (the Chet play at the plate ended the 6th and he wasn't facing Heddo.) Also, Heddo was seen walking up to the plate after the second out of the inning (the rundown at second base), with Martinella saying something like "holy goosebumps, it's Heddo" as he approached. Heddo would've been on deck, so it wasn't a surprise, plus he would've already been at the plate prior to the rundown play.
Suggested correction: There is a reasonable explanation for both of those points. Heddo could have been a substitution player after the sixth inning, or be a pinch hitter, so hadn't been to bat yet. This would be logical since Heddo is a fastball hitter and they think Henry is still throwing fastballs, so as a last ditch sent him in. For why they didn't notice that Heddo was on deck, they were captivated by the on-field action, and with Henry off the mound going over by first base and doing stupid stuff, hadn't looked over yet to see who was next.
