Character mistake: When Maui and Moana set sail after defeating the Kakamora, Maui says they must head east. He turns the boat 90° as he says this. Throughout the next scene the setting sun is to the left of them (providing a beautiful backdrop to their fight), meaning that the boat must be heading north, not east.
Character mistake: During the race sign up scene, when each racer is throwing their coin into the gold cup as the entry fee, the announcer says Snowanna Rainbeau, and you can see a blue haired pig-tailed character just behind Rancis Fluggerbutter. This character is Citrusella Flugpucker, the 6th listed racer on the board, but she is announced as Jubileena Bing-Bing, who is listed 13th on the board. Jubileena Bing-Bing is the red pig-tailed racer, not the blue. (00:35:10)
Character mistake: Baymax, a healthcare robot, says that his programming includes a database of 10,000 symptoms of disease. Yet, he issues the warning, "After eating, wait one hour before swimming." That warning, often given by parents to their children, has no basis in medical fact. People who do not get cramps after eating will not develop cramps by going swimming after eating: http://www.snopes.com/oldwives/hourwait.asp.
Character mistake: When Nanny says, "Look, here's Lucky!" the puppy she picks up does not have a collar on, therefore that cannot be Lucky, as Lucky is one of the original 15 with collars. (01:16:48)
Character mistake: At the beginning of the movie, during "Provincial Life", we see a fat lady trying on a hat in a hat store. The sign over the window, in French, reads "Chapeau" (hat). The correct way to identify that store would have been "Chapeaux" (hats) or "Chapelier" (hatter).
Character mistake: During "The Bare Necessities", when Mowgli climbs onto his back, Baloo asks him to scratch his left shoulder; Mowgli then proceeds to scratch Baloo's right shoulder.
Suggested correction: Mowgli starts with the left shoulder. After that he moves over the back when Baloo arches and ends up on the right shoulder.
Suggested correction: Mowgli has lived with wolves for God knows how long. Wolves wouldn't just teach him the difference between left and right when they could teach him how to feed himself. For this reason, Mowgli could get it wrong. Also, the bear could've muddled up his words without realizing as, again, it isn't necessary to know left and right.
Character mistake: Archimedes says he told Arthur not to pull the sword out of the stone. He didn't, he pointed it out in the churchyard to him instead.
Suggested correction: Archimedes was trying to be helpful when he pointed out the sword so Merlin could take it to the tournament. But after it became a big issue with the rays from heaven and the legend, Archimedes thought he might get in trouble so tried to act innocent by fibbing. It was deliberate and in character, not a character mistake.
