Question: Why didn't Neo kill the Architect before he left to save Trinity? The Architect seemed important to the machines.

Answer: The Architect, is the father and creator of the Matrix. Not only is he important to the machines, he is important to the Matrix itself. Killing him would most likely affect the Matrix in some way.

Question: After the girl receives the gift of power and walks out along the beach and there are all the dead sea animals. What is the significance of them being gifts if any. And why sea animals.

Answer: Earlier in the film, Nancy asked for all the power of "Manon" - a fictitious name made for the movie that closely resembles "Mananan," the Gaelic god of the sea. Since this is the god of the sea, and Nancy asked for his power, he gave her sea animals as gifts, as well as the ability to walk on water. Why the god would give her these gifts is beyond me.

Question: Why do Nicky, Adrian and Chasias always stand on things that are hot? examples include: Nicky sitting on a barbecuer at the apartment, Adrian (as the priest) standing on a perfectly good pepperoni pizza (shame on him) and so on, so why do they stand on hot things?

Answer: They all grew up in Hell, so Earth is freezing cold to them.

Question: What is that gun thing that is pushed into the guy's neck after he says "I thought this was a currency exchange?" Is the guy dead or just knocked out?

Answer: Knocked out. It was a hand held tranquilizer gun like most vets use on animals to put them to sleep.

Rollin Garcia Jr

Answer: I've always wondered this and I don't think you're going to find a good answer. I know everyone is saying it was a tranquilizer. But tranquilizers wear off and if one of those people they gave an injection to regained consciousness it could be a big problem for them. eg. The cops in the subway. That's why I think it was probably a fatal injection of something.

It's not a fatal injection. Remember, Simon says, "I'm a soldier, not a monster." And earlier, one of the henchmen yelled at Otto, "No shooting." Simon doesn't intend to kill anyone (though later he changes his mind when he's ready to blow up the ship). The only people who killed anyone were Otto, Katya, and McClane.

I'm pretty sure the bombing at the beginning of the movie killed people. Plus, the bomb in the subway would have killed a whole bunch of people. Saying Simon doesn't intend to kill anyone is quite naive.

My opinion is it was not a fatal injection. They seem to be strangling and killing the guards in that scene; they could have easily done the same to the manager as well. My thinking is Simon deemed there was no need to kill the manager, so he simply knocked him out and likely tied him up.

Question: This question applies to most of the Star Wars films: why do Light sabres turn themselves off when they are dropped, thrown etc?

Answer: Normally the on/off switch is pressure sensitive. So when someone lets go of the switch, the blade shuts off, for safety. However, most lightsabers also have a lockable switch, meaning the switch can be locked in the "on" position, so someone can thrown the saber to cut things (with the blade on). Of course, they are also Jedi, so they can use the on/off switch with the Force.

Question: Is Wolverine actually a 'mutant'? Since he had the adamantium surgically grafted in his skin, it didn't come naturally like mutants do.

Answer: Yes, his mutant abilities are enhanced senses, enhanced strength and agility and rapid healing, along with retractable bone claws. His healing factor is what allowed him to survive the implantation of the adamantium.

Question: All of the actors in this film are actually credited as either themselves, or their character in the Jack Slater films (eg. the reporters recognise Tom Noonan as himself at the film premiere). However, the actress playing Whitney is actually called Bridgette Wilson, not Meredeth as Danny points out. Why was this?

Answer: Most likely, she was not a well-known enough actress to have name recognition like Arnold.

Question: Does anyone know why the Three Little Pigs have a German accent?

Answer: The story of the Three Little Pigs originated in Germany and came to America with German immigrants. Thus the German accents.

Mark English

Question: This movie wouldn't be anything special at all in these days; now they put everything into the computers and voilĂ . So, could anybody tell me (with direct examples) how did they make the interaction between Toons and humans without any CGI?

Answer: They used a lot of practical trickery. In the bar scene where Roger is smashing plates on his head, they had a robot arm with a suction cup that would grab a plate and smash it on a metal rod where the head would be. The Weasels' guns were suspended by wires (watch the guns as they carry them. The movement is more characteristic of being hung than held). They had a robot arm that they could place a drink in to make it look like Roger was drinking a shot of whisky. This was used in Maroon's office (while Roger is sitting on the chair), and in the bar (when Eddy pulls the whole "You don't"/"I do" trick). Watch the scene where Roger takes the drink in the bar. Right after taking the drink and before the cut, his arm very conspicuously stays in a somewhat unusually rigid angle. They had to keep the arm there to cover up the robotic arm. They also had a little buggy for Bob Hoskins to ride around in when he was in Benny. The wheel that Hoskins holds was useless on the buggy and the vehicle was controlled by someone else.

Answer: There was also a giant sized doll of Roger Rabbit, Bob Hoskins would use it as a reference point or as stunt doll when he had to grab Roger. Charles Fleischer, the voice of Roger Rabbit, would stand off camera in costume saying his lines.

Question: Aside from the battles Eminem does with the extras in the special feature, how many of the freestyles in the film are actually spontaneous?

Answer: None! Eminem wrote all the rhymes for the entire movie.

Question: I remember watching this in a cinema while i was in America and at the end when Fiona goes to kiss the prince she headbutts him instead. But when i got it on DVD in the UK she doesn't headbutt him but hits his neck. I guessing they changed this for the violence rating, but my question is: is this only changed on UK DVD or everywhere?

Answer: In the UK, headbutts are frowned upon by the ratings boards. Films such as The Matrix, Wild, Wild West and Fight Club all had to remove headbutts from the UK versions. As for the headbutt in other versions, the UK version is the only reported version to have the headbutt removed. http://www.dvdcompare.net is a great site to compare other versions of DVDs from around the world.

Lummie

Question: Does anyone know why the deleted scene in the DVD was cut from the release?

Answer: Because it only slowed the action down without bringing anything new to the plot.

Question: Where and/or when are we told that Rose has actually died at the end when she returns to the Titanic?

Answer: While its never confirmed she has died, it seems like she died in her sleep after throwing the necklace back into the ocean. After we see her in bed, she is on the Titanic and everyone who died is standing around implying she is now seeing all these people again now that she has died. This could also just be a dream.

Question: Sometime during the third season, the animators changed their alien substitute code for a more difficult one. I can't remember what it was called (Modulator 6? Something like that.) but I remember that each symbol could represent any letter depending on the letters/symbols that came before it. I still want to translate the secret messages myself, but could someone please explain to me (in layman terms) how this new code works?

Answer: Each symbol in the second alien alphabet (AA2) corresponds to a number from 1-26, so you'll end up with a series of numbers. The first number corresponds directly with an A-Z letter on another lookup table, but each subsequent letter is the corresponding number from the original numeric series subtracted from the number preceding it. The lookup tables and a tutorial on decoding AA2 is available at http://tfp.killbots.com/?p=aa_02.

Question: What is Mystique's real name? I've heard it before but I can't remember what it is.

Answer: Mystique's original name was Raven Darkholme, but she also spent many years masquerading as Mallory Brickman.

Myridon

Chosen answer: She wanted to leave him something of hers to keep, and it's the only personal item she had on hand.

Sereenie

It is his ring that he gave to her. She is giving him back his ring.

Question: I never fully understood why Constantine disliked 'half-breeds' so much, he called them "hypocritical bullshit." Can someone enlighten me?

Answer: He calls it hypocritical bullshit because half breeds exist in both half-demon and half-angel form, they "whisper thoughts" to us that are both positive and negative suggesting that we will do both positive and negative things, confusing us humans. They call it a balance because there are an equal amount of both good and bad half breeds. However he thinks this is unjust, because they should let us make decisions on our own.

Answer: He's trying (very badly) to pretend that it's a weapon of some sort.

Tailkinker

Question: I know that someone has earlier stated that the girl in red was the only thing shown in color in the movie (except for the last scene), but I'm pretty sure that some of the candles were in color. Is this true?

Answer: Yes.
