Question: Maury objects quite heavily at the idea of Arthur giving the order to murder his son, Matt. Why is this? In season 2, Maury is shown to use his telepathy on Matt in a harmful way, not to mention the fact he abandoned him when he was quite young.
Chosen answer: There's something of a difference between Maury using his powers against Matt to take him out of the equation and actually killing him. Maury is prepared to work against his son if necessary, but doesn't want to see him dead.
Question: What ever happened to Bernard? He is non-existent in this movie and nobody seems to notice.
Answer: David Krumholtz (Benard) is busy on his show "Numb3rs" on CBS and is committed to that so he didn't return for The Santa Clause 3. I guess they could have explained his absence, but the filmakers decided not to. They simply promoted Curtis since he was in the 2nd movie.
Answer: He was on another show at the time, but was also 28 years old. And while he pushes the limits of being the childlike elf in the first two movies, he was most likely too old for the role in the third.
Question: After completing the Adamantium procedure on Wolverine, why does Colonel Stryker want Wolverine's memory wiped?
Chosen answer: Logan only agreed to the procedure so that he'd be able to take down Victor. As Stryker is actually working with Victor, he obviously doesn't want Logan killing Victor off, so he orders his memory erased so that he doesn't remember the details. Plus, with no memory of why he left and subsequent events, it might be possible to bring Logan back into the fold, giving him another mutant agent to further his agenda.
Question: Sylar informs Mr. Bennet that as soon as he gets out of containment he's going to collect one more ability from his daughter. To my knowledge they have never met before so this would be the first time they've actually met each other face to face. How does Sylar know Claire Bennet is Mr. Bennet's daughter?
Chosen answer: It is stated in "Six Months Ago" that Claire was on the list that Chandra had, which Sylar had access to.

Question: How was Peter able to communicate with Charles Deveaux even though he's been dead for some time?
Chosen answer: Charles Deveaux had super powers. It could very well be his powers made it possible for Peter to communicate with him.
Question: What was the point of bringing the Elves to the Battle of Helm's Deep? I don't mean in terms of the action of the film - I mean, why would the filmmakers add in something that is completely off the book? Legolas and Gimli frequently comment in the books that they wish their kinsmen would come to help them. Legolas then says that war is raging on their lands, and they will not come. Why have them come in the film?
Chosen answer: It's to show that the other races aren't just sitting back and letting the race of Men fight the battles. They could, of course, simply have had Legolas and Gimli saying that their people are fighting elsewhere, much as the books do, but it's more interesting and emphatic to actually show that the elves are participating in the battle against evil, even if it represents a change.
Question: Exactly why did The Terminator raid the police station and kill all those cops? Wouldn't it have been more prudent to wait until Sarah was released, make sure she was unprotected and then kill her?
Chosen answer: From his point of view, she was already unprotected. At least, unprotected enough for him to make an attempt on her life. The police can't stop him and concerns for his own safety do not enter his calculations. But he was programmed with one goal in mind: Kill Sarah Connor. When he sees an opportunity to do so, he takes it. He knew where she was. To wait would be to risk losing that information.
Question: When exactly is the movie set? I think it may be sometime in the 70s, but all of the technology has me confused. It all seems so advanced for the 70s.
Chosen answer: The finale of the film takes place around Three Mile Island and implies that the accident there is actually a result of the events of the film, dating it to March 28th 1979. That's an assumption, but fits with the chronology of the X-Men movie series given how young Professor X looks.
Question: In "The Stolen Earth", is The Doctor refering to an old episode when he says, "Someone tried to move the earth before"?
Answer: Yes. The Daleks tried to destroy the Earth's core and replace it with an engine to pilot it through the universe in the first Doctor story "The Dalek Invasion of Earth."
Question: At the beginning, why did the cops chase after Reese, what was their reason?
Chosen answer: He'd just mugged somebody in the alley for their trousers.
Question: So the adamatium bullets erased Wolverine's memory, Cyclops wore a blindfold (for lack of a better term) the entire time he was at 3-Mile Island and thus never saw Wolverine, and Xavier obviously withheld information he knew all about in the first two X-Men films because he's Xavier, but what about Sabertooth/Victor? How is it he lost his memory between this movie and X-Men 1? And with all the punishment he took in this movie, how can anyone seriously believe he died in the first movie?
Answer: No one quite knows how Sabretooth "forgot" his connection to Wolverine between the films. There's another movie in the works, it may be explained there. It was never confirmed that he died in the first X-Men movie; he simply didn't appear in the second. Magneto may have relieved him of duty.
Question: Towards the end of the film, why does Reese switch on all those machines? He says something about "cover, so it can't track us." What does he mean by this?
Chosen answer: It creates more heat, more noise and more motion in the area. It makes it harder to pick out two people running around, either by sight (machines blocking view), heat sensors (from the heat of the machinery) or listening out (the machines are loud).
Question: Hiro Nakamura acquires two plane tickets to Tokyo for himself and Charlie Andrews. Why? Wouldn't it be a lot less time consuming to simply teleport her there?
Chosen answer: Hiro's powers aren't terribly reliable at the time - he's okay with using it himself, but doesn't want to risk her ending up somewhere unsafe.
Question: What was Bob Bishop hoping to gain by keeping Peter in containment? Was it to simply stop him from causing any further harm to himself and other people? Also, he must have known it would be a risk putting him in a cell next to Adam Monroe? Furthermore, was Angela Petrelli aware of Peter's incarceration? What would she have made of it?
Chosen answer: Angela Petrelli was not the company leader, Bob was. So its safe to asume the Angela didn't know about Peter's incarceration. As for the plan, well i think it's pretty much the same as Adam Monroe, keep him locked up forever without powers. And no, I don't think they figured it was risky to put him next to Adam, as the cells are supposed to be sealed tightly.
Question: When Palpatine sees the hologram of the pirate leader with Dooku, he says that a hologram can be faked, but then he believes the pirate when he sees Dooku's lightsaber. If he thinks that the pirate could have faked the hologram of Dooku, wouldn't it also be reasonable to accuse him of faking the hologram of the lightsaber?
Answer: It is to note that Count Dooku's lightsabers have a very characteristic curve handle. If you wouldn't know what this particular item looked like, you would have a hard time faking it. The sight of Dooku's lightsaber, therefore, had to convince the Jedi about the veracity of the pirate's claims.
Question: Towards the end of the episode but before the climatic battle between Sylar and Peter, Sylar, disguised as Nathan through the power of illusion, walks calmly towards Peter and then reverts back to his own form/image. To my knowledge there are four people who are there to witness this: Peter, Matt Parkman and two unnamed SWAT officers with a battering ram. It is understandable if the two SWAT officers didn't see this transformation, but Matt? Surely he must have seen? He was a few feet from him, yet he didn't even bat an eyelid? Why is this? His superior transformed into a well-known killer.
Chosen answer: Simple, he changes the illusion for peter, but keeps the others thinking he is still Nathan, he can make different illusions at once.
Yeah, but surely when the cameras were on him, and the whole world was watching, what happened? He cast the same illusion to 7 billion people?
Yes. He could drop the illusion for Peter alone whilst everybody else would still see him in his disguise.
The Bully / Just One Bite - S2-E17
Question: In 'Just One Bite', I remember there used to be a scene after Squidwad's dream and before him blowing up. He used to walk into the Krusty Krab, only to have a bucket of gas fall on him and a robot arm coming out and lighting Squidward on fire. Nowadays, I can't find that scene anywhere. What happened to it?
Answer: Nick has never given an official reason, though fans speculate it was removed because 1) it may give kids the idea to set fire to gasoline with matches, and 2) it was considered reminiscent of the 11 September attacks on the World Trade Centre.
Question: Near the end, in the lab, Victor Creed tells Kayla that her powers of persuasion will not work on him. Why is that?
Chosen answer: Her power works by manipulating parts of the mind. Since Victor and Logan both regenerate her power can't affect them because they essentially "heal/regenerate" the part she is manipulating. Granted Prof. X threatens Logan with this in the original movies, but he is much more powerful, or could have been bluffing.
