Chosen answer: No it isn't. Brinkley has three kids. One born in 1985, one born in 1995 and one born in 1998. Vegas Vacation was made in 1997. This was before her third child but 2 years after her second child. The kid in the car is shown as a baby, not a two year old.

The movie was filmed in June 1996. Her baby, Jack, would have just turned 1. It could be him.

Question: I submitted a mistake about the road sign at the end of the film that shows how many miles to Chicago and that there would not be such a sign in Vegas. My question is what was the point of adding that into film? And also I think it is safe to assume that the Griswolds booked a flight back to Chicago (round trip). If they did it doesn't seem like they would've had time to cancel it since they didn't know until the end that Rusty won the 4 cars. So wouldn't they have lost more money that way as well?

Answer: Clark sold the plane tickets to continue gambling.

Answer: A sign saying how many miles home is a common film making technique. It's not meant to be realistic. Considering the Griswolds won enough at keno to recover their losses and at least $120,000 worth of cars, I can't see them getting too upset over the airfare which is likely less than a thousand dollars.

So they did turn in the ticket and got the money? I know they drove off in the cars Russ won.

Answer: They live in Chicago. I think it was just a nod to the number of miles and who knows what could happen to them on the way home.

Answer: Don't forget that Clark gambled away their plane tickets. He needs to drive the 4 new cars Rusty won to Chicago.

Corrected entry: While the Griswolds are playing keno at the end of the movie, there are a few mistakes with the game. When the keno lady is calling out the numbers, she calls out 14 as the 3rd number and 33 as the 5th number. When they show the keno balls up close it says the 3rd number is 48 and 52 as the 5th. Also in one scene it shows 30 already on the board, but a few shots later 30 hasn't come up yet. (01:22:14)

Correction: Some casinos have 2 different keno boards. 1 for people to play while in a restraunt and they only use that board. The other board is for people who play it at the keno area like they were.

Right, but why would they show a keno board that is irrelevant?

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, when Clark is driving down the street looking at the map, there are 4 kids roller blading in the street. In one shot, one of the kids jumps onto a parkway lawn to avoid being hit by Clark's bad driving. Next shot, when they pan back to the kids, all 4 are still on the street.

Cousin Eddie: That's it Clark... show him who's boss. It's people like you who come here and blow the family nest egg that built this town... not this pretty boy.
