Continuity mistake: In the scene where Jo comes home from New York and sees Beth sick on the sofa, she gives Beth a music box. Beth opens the lid to the music box and in the next shot, the camera is pulled back and Beth opens the lid again.

Amy: How was I dressed when we had all that money?
Jo March: In diapers.

Trivia: Mary Astor plays Marmee, the mother of Jo (June Allyson). In real life, Astor was only eleven years older than Allyson.
