Audio problem: When Sarge is giving instructions to Allbright over the taxi radio Allbright replies "I don't know what the union's going to say about all this" to which Sarge replies "**** the union". His mouth doesn't open while the noise sounds to cover up his swear word.

Charlie Hawkins: When you get to be a cab driver you cut yourself right off from the rest of the human race. Everybody's got it in for you and nobody loves you. In no time at all you find that you're about as popular as a wickerwork seat in a nudist camp, and you know what sort of impression that makes on people.
Trivia: In the scene where Charles Hawtry is training to drive the taxi, it has L plates on. These are real, as after he got the part Hawtry told the producers that he didn't have a driving licence. He had to apply for one and was given a few driving lessons in Pinewood Studios car park to learn the basics for this scene. This is why you don't see him do much taxi driving in the film.
