Audio problem: The cars all seem to sound like dragsters when accelerating. The Cadillac convertible, especially, would have been designed to be as quiet as can be, given that it was an expensive luxury car.

Answer: Possibly so any surviving enemies they encountered on previous missions and or tours of duty couldn't hunt them down and kill them for revenge.
