Factual error: When Stuart is in the washing machine it completely fills up to the top - washing machines only fill up with water 1-3 inches high. When the mother goes to open the door and get him out, it opens straight away. This isn't possible, washing machines never open during a cycle.
Suggested correction: Not true, a washing machine would simply stop running if the door was opened.
Washing machines lock, so you can't open the door, or at least my front loader does.

Answer: It was just an excuse because George didn't want to be in the race anymore after the remote control got broken.
Well, it was an accident with Stuart throwing the remote control for the boat, and was broken and stepped on by the man's foot.
Answer: Why? Because he's so annoyed with them and hates Stuart Little.
It's a general question. Smokey hated house cats even before Stuart entered the picture.
