Trivia: Director Jason Reitman is the son of Ivan Reitman, director of the original "Ghostbusters" and "Ghostbusters II." As a child, Jason actually had a cameo in "Ghostbusters II" during the birthday party in the beginning. (He's the kid who tells Ray he heard the Ghostbusters were "full of crap").
Trivia: While Guy fights with Dude, there is kid with a red shirt watching the game. Behind his back there is a Deadpool poster, another Ryan Reynolds movie.
Trivia: The Sator Square dates back to Pompeii and is a square of 5 Latin words making a palindrome: Sator, Arepo, Tenet, Opera, and Rotas. Whichever orientation the square is in the words line up in both directions. Each word features in the film - Kenneth Branagh's character is named Sator, the forger mentioned near the start is Arepo, the title is of course Tenet, the opening sequence takes place in an Opera, and the Ukranian special forces who arrive in that sequence have badges on their arms with "Rotas" on them.
Trivia: Panning around Diana's apartment, the camera briefly lingers on a photo of her with an elderly lady, with no elaboration of its significance. But look closely and you'll realise the woman in the photo is Etta from the first movie, again played by Lucy Davis, just made up to look 67 years older.
Trivia: As the family is leaving home in their car, a neighbor asks that they also take her daughter, Ellie. ELE, pronounced the same as the name, stands for Extinction Level Event.
Trivia: Will Smith dismisses the new task force "AMMO" as "a high school musical boyband with guns." AMMO member Kelly is played by Vanessa Hudgens, who starred in the High School Musical franchise.
Trivia: This is the third film in the X-Men franchise to make reference to the villain Mr. Sinister, following X-Men: Apocalypse and Deadpool 2, by way of the Essex Corporation (Nathaniel Essex being Mr. Sinister's real name). The logo for the Essex Corporation is a diamond, similar to the ones Mr. Sinister has on his forehead and chest in the comics. Unfortunately, since this is the final film in the Fox X-Men franchise, Mr. Sinister himself never made a physical appearance in any of the films.
Trivia: Jurnee Smollett-Bell performs all of her own singing in this movie.
Trivia: When Fletcher is pitching his story to the guy at Miramax, The Man from UNCLE poster is in the background. Guy Ritchie also directed that movie, and both movies feature Hugh Grant.
Trivia: After defeating Baraka, Johnny Cage quips the word "Toasty!" This is a reference to an Easter-Egg from the video-game series, in which sound designer Dan Forden would appear in the corner of the screen and say "Toasty!" in a high-pitched voice. (The word came from Forden playfully taunting his friends at video-games. He used to say things like "You're toast!" or "I predict toast!" when he was doing well. It eventually morphed into the catchphrase "Toasty!").
Trivia: Michael Gross is the only actor to appear in all seven "Tremors" movies.
Trivia: "Aggressive driving" and "Road Rage" are not the same thing, but there is some overlap: Not all aggressive driving is road rage, but road rage is an extreme form of aggressive driving. In general, aggressive driving (such as tailgating) is classified as a traffic offense or summary offense (typically punishable by a fine but can result in suspension of driver's license and possibly include a short jail sentence) whereas road rage is classified as a criminal offense (and also falls under civil offenses or torts) because the intent is to cause harm. Road rage can take the form of an aggravated assault by vehicle (felony offense); less serious incidents are sometimes written up as "reckless driving", lowering the classification to a summary (traffic) offense. When a driver becomes angry, wants to cause harm to another person/driver, and a person is injured, the driver's behavior is deemed violent and subject to criminal prosecution as a felony offense.
