Continuity mistake: At the end of Margot Robbie's scene she picks up the champagne flute from her bathtub. The camera angle changes and she is no longer holding it, then picks it up again.
Continuity mistake: After Jimmy and Billy's mother dies, they're sitting in the kitchen having a drink. Billy's beer is about 3/4 full, then in a closer shot it's more full, with only a few sips taken.
Continuity mistake: When Rachel McAdams is interviewing Joe in the coffee shop, she starts off with a couple of lines written on her notepad, then half a page, then back to a few lines, then a full page, etc. It changes in almost every shot. (00:38:40)
Continuity mistake: When Dre is talking to his brother outside the house before he leaves, the house in the background is showing partial sun (around sunset). Then, it becomes fully in the sun in the last shot as he's now leaving. The frame instantly changes to a wider view of the street, and now the house is fully shady with the sun already down.
Continuity mistake: The scene where Lilly meets the new art dealer. Lilly holds the brandy in 'his' left hand then right hand then left hand then right hand in different shots. (01:04:00)
Continuity mistake: Near the beginning of the movie when Joy is in her airline's company uniform and getting ready to go to work, the knot on her scarf changes from loose to tight several times in the different shots.
Continuity mistake: When Joseph Gorden-Levitt is performing his street act in Paris, somebody drops a jaw-breaker candy into his hat instead of money. He removes the jaw-breaker, performs some sleight-of-hand with it for the entertainment of the crowd, then deftly drop-kicks the candy into his mouth and bites down on it hard on the right side. It breaks his tooth and he immediately goes to the dentist; but he is clutching the left side of his face, instead of the right side.
Continuity mistake: In the first scene with Stephen Fry, Narayana mentions the construction of the bridge and sarcastly repeats the title of "Sir Francis." Fry has a pen in hand, no pen in the side view, again a pen back to the previous angle. (00:05:10)
