Revealing mistake: Throughout the film, the base station radio is not connected to an antenna. In many lengthy shots of the back of the radio we can see the power cord trailing out the back of the unit, but there is nothing plugged in to the antenna socket. This is especially annoying because base station radio problems are a key plot point.
Revealing mistake: When Cap is driving the blue Chevrolet Silverado with Black Widow, the gear shift is in the up locked position, not lower on the column, indicating the truck was towed in the scene. (00:54:45)
Revealing mistake: When the 13-year old boys are "driving" the car to chase after Echo, the car is not being driven at all (but on a tow-truck) because we can see that the gear lever is in the "park" position.
Revealing mistake: When Tessa and Shane are trying to free Optimus from being impaled to the wall after he is stabbed with his sword, there is a shot of Tessa running towards Optimus after she grabs the hook belonging to the tow truck. In the background of the shot, the Willis Tower, also known as the Sears Tower, can be seen in the far background. The buildings surrounding the tower can also be seen as well. The Willis Tower is located in Chicago, but the scene is set in Hong Kong. The scene was likely filmed in Chicago. (02:32:40)
Revealing mistake: When they leave the caravan park, look at the wheels of the caravan they are set up to rear steer like a truck trailer, rather than a normal caravan. When they exit the park the caravan tilts, giving a good view of the set up underneath.
Revealing mistake: When Lucy is chained and locked up in the room by the Korean drug cartel, she is hit in the stomach by the Korean guy. Drugs start leaking into her stomach and her body, and she starts shaking and going up the wall and ceiling. When she is leaning against the wall and crawling up it, the way the gravity affects the chains and her hair shows that she is actually lying on the floor. (00:25:20)
Revealing mistake: After returning from the ocean planet, the crew has a long discussion on board their ship. Directly behind Cooper, the grey control panels are the pneumatic and pressurization control panels from a Lockheed L1011 airliner. (01:26:30)
Revealing mistake: At the end when April and Kyle are killed, they are thrown in a hole back first. When they are shown, they are neatly positioned beside each other. April even has her knees bent up and Kyle has his arm around her waist meaning they obviously positioned themselves for the final shot.
Revealing mistake: When Four injects Tris with the serum before taking the test for the first time, it is very apparent the syringe is not injected into Tris' neck. The tip of the syringe is merely just touching the skin of Tris' neck and the syringe is shown moving around her neck. (01:07:30)
Revealing mistake: When Thomas is running through the blades to rejoin the other runner, as they run into each other it is a CGI background. (01:08:50)
Revealing mistake: About seven minutes in, during the scene where we see Cooper helping the Nerd as a cameraman, you can tell that Cooper has been added to the scene using green-screen effects, as the actor was unavailable to shoot at the location. The lighting on Cooper doesn't quite match the lighting of the scene, and you can see a slight "blur/feathering effect" around him where the greenscreen background was removed.
Revealing mistake: When the stewardess asks April to sign her copy of the book entitled "How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters..." it's a thin book, and in the closeup as April autographs the page we can read the text and it's actually one of the versions of the "Samsung Galaxy Tab...For Dummies" book, not April's book. Also notice when Kelly Ripa shows April's book to the audience, it's now at least 4x as thick.
