Audio problem: Jordan and Donnie are talking about Jordan's money. Jordan then says "technically 72 thousand last month. Something like that." When he says "something like that", the camera is very close to Jordan's head with Donnie in the background. You hear the words "something like that", but Jordan's mouth is not moving, it is closed. Audio problem: Throughout the film, Jodie Foster's dialogue does not sync up with the movements of her mouth, indicating most if not all of her lines were re-dubbed after filming.
Audio problem: When Cale is kicking the terrorist in the bathroom he says "You think you're tough?" However his face is scrunched up and his mouth is not moving when the audio is heard. (00:38:10)
Audio problem: When Gatsby and Nick are in his car driving to meet Wolfshime, in wide shots you can see that what Leonardo DiCaprio is saying does not match his mouth's movements.
Audio problem: While Gerry is talking to the C.I.A. Agent, a side view of the agent's face is seen as he says "That's the man in Jerusalem you want to see." The movements of his mouth and cheek does not appear to match up to what he is saying at all. (00:43:55)
Audio problem: In several scenes, Sandra Bullock used radio equipment in efforts to call for assistance. There is a sound made by vintage, mechanically tuned radios called "heterodyning" that results in a squealing, variable frequency sound in the speaker. While heterodyning added a degree of drama to the scenes in "Gravity", contemporary radios operate on a different, highly stable technique for tuning, and do not produce heterodyne sounds. Audio problem: When the train pulls away after being decoupled it really sounds like a steam train, not a diesel electric. (00:59:30)
Audio problem: When the SEALs in the Chinooks take fire, a helicopter crew member fires their weapons. The weapon is a M240 7.62mm Machine Gun, but the audio of it firing is that of an M134 Minigun.
Audio problem: When the Police play "Roxanne" for Hilly, the actors are just lip-syncing to the studio version; though his laugh has been edited out, the atonal piano chord at the beginning of the song, a now-famous gaffe from when Sting accidentally sat on a keyboard during recording, still remains.
Audio problem: In the mansion during the second scene, Louis is among the group and his phone goes off vibrating. It is extremely obvious that the sound of the phone vibrating was actually someone humming in attempt to mimic the sound, and doing a poor job at it.
