Factual error: Milo gets out of the car to pump gas, but they are in New Jersey where pumping your own gas is illegal.
Factual error: When Tommy and Kathy go to visit the madame, that part of the movie is set in 1994, but we see two cars that don't fit in that year: a gray 1997-2004 Volkswagen Passat that drives past, and a gray 1996-1999 Citroen Saxo parked a few meters away from madame's house. (01:21:20)
Factual error: In the airport scene where Garrett is leaving San Francisco after visiting his girlfriend Erin, they're at the Southwest Airlines counter. He's just checked in for his flight and they're starting to say their goodbyes. He makes a quick comment complaining about getting a middle seat. Southwest has an "open seating" plan where passengers can choose where they sit once they board. So it's a mistake that he would have gotten an assigned seat.
Factual error: After the snake swallows the dagger - it is able to curve its body beyond that which having the dagger inside would allow.
Factual error: In the scene when they are leaving the Pittsburgh Zoo, the sign indicates to turn right for Interstate 79. However Intestate 79 is about 15 miles to the west of the zoo. Also, it is suggested that Interstate 79 is the turnpike (a tolled road), when actually Interstate 76 is the turnpike and Interstate 79 is not tolled.
Factual error: When Leslie and Scott meet at the gas station, she is pumping gas, which wouldn't have happened in New Jersey. New Jersey and Oregon are the only two US states that don't allow customers to pump gas. (00:12:00 - 00:12:30)
Factual error: A fire breaks out in the hospital due to one of Abby's victims being exposed to sunlight as she's turning into a vampire, destroying that vampire and a burning a nurse to death. Modern hospitals have fire sprinklers, fire extinguishers, etc. and sensors/alarms that the fire would have activated.
Factual error: Towards the end of the movie where they finally can get on the bus the bus scene has two mistakes. One is that it travels ilegally on the right hand side of the road at speed over some chevrons but more importantly as they are supposed to be in Tipperary, there is a bus stop sign which says "Dublin City Bus" which is a completely different bus service to the "Bus Eireann" service they get on.
Factual error: When Phil Foster and the cabbie are trying to access the files on the flash drive, they use an Amazon Kindle. The Amazon Kindle does not have a USB connection for a flash drive.
Factual error: There's a scene where a woman's son and Kahn are playing on an Xbox. The movie was set around the time when 9/11 happened and the console was not even released at that time. You can tell from the controller they were using. It was white and had a battery underneath for wireless gaming.
Factual error: Towards the end of the movie when the woman with her daughter, Tuti are building the house on the shore.she was putting the tiles of blue on the sand, no foundation and they were building the walls on the tile, when building a house tile is the last item that is put in.
Factual error: Close to the end of the film Michael Reed is traveling from Philadelphia to New York City by train early in the morning. The sun shines on his face from left side which is impossible in the morning, as the left side of his face faces west during that direction of travel (from south to north).
Factual error: A delightful movie that theoretically takes place in the vicinity of Portland Oregon, over a period of many months. The problem is, that at no time does it ever rain, and anyone who has lived near Portland knows it rains half of the year.
Factual error: When they land back at the airport you see the door open and hear the sound of the engines. However at the rear of the left engine you see the engine cover (red flag moving in the wind) still in place. The engine cover still on while the engine is running could cause serious damage or it would be blown out. It would be removed during preparation checks.
Factual error: When Jamie Lee Curtis drops the earring down the drain, she panics and kicks the pea trap off the drain. This causes water to spew from the pipes which is possible if she accidentally kicked the water pipe but when she replaces the pea trap by hand, the water cuts off which would not happen, as the drain has nothing to do with running water.
Factual error: Sailing ships in harbor always have their sails furled and stowed, not set. All the ships in the city's harbor have their sails set. Would never happen.
Factual error: The day Dean came to her work they drove back to her dad's after the fight. It was 4th of July. Doctors' offices are not open on the 4th.
Factual error: When the Senator is looking at the rent ledger, there are entries for each property as well as the date that money was collected. One of the dates is 2/29/74, yet 1974 was not a leap year. The only leap years in that decade were 1972 and 1976. (00:56:30)
