Continuity mistake: When Joe gets injured and he insists the back-up quarterback goes in, he takes his wristband with all the plays on it off, so it can be given to the back-up. When the back-up quarterback is shown running on the field, he does not have it on, but when they show the back-up on the field, he does have the plays wristband on.

Continuity mistake: When Chazz Michael Michaels goes to Katie Van Waldenberg to "comfort" each other Chazz leaves the door slightly open. Then it has a shot of Katie then back to Chazz and the door is completely closed. Then right before Jimmy walks in it shows a shot of Chazz and the door and it is slightly open again.

Audio problem: At the scene where Mikey asks the elder penguin if anyone surfs in Shiverpool, when he says,"You know you're standing on thin ice," his beak never moves.

Continuity mistake: At the place where Libby's birthday is being held, when Dennis and Gordon are talking to Libby and Whit, the pictures behind Dennis and Gordon keep moving positions.

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Randy is playing table tennis on the stage at the restaurant, just after he has finished hitting the ball blindfolded and says, "Thank you", you can see a man in the background getting up. The shot then switches to the boy with the man in the background still sitting. The shot then switches back to Randy and the man is getting up again.

Continuity mistake: When John is at the pizza place after jogging, the sweat stain at the top of his shirt continuously changes.

Revealing mistake: During the film, the Nike tick on the Arsenal shirt is a reversed tick, revealing a flipped shot.

Continuity mistake: When Michelle gives her pep talk to Coach Fields, the house they're in is the house they moved from at the beginning of the movie.

Continuity mistake: Right after they decide to become a team, Jim is walking to Hakeem's home and you see a little boy in a green shirt in three different places during the walk. The little boy is seen playing pattycake with a little girl on a car, then you see him running down the street and in the very next frame you see him kneeling at a flower bed.

Continuity mistake: Drew Barrymore's hair varies from shot to shot, as well as within scenes. It's always styled a bit differently, as if she did not have the same hairstylist more than once.

Deliberate mistake: During the final montage, we see Erik and Joyce in bed together, and the next sequence is of Teddy talking to his baby brother. This was to show that they got back together and had another kid. The mistake is that Teddy would've been a year older by that time, and so would've looked a little bigger, although there is also the fact that the actor who played Teddy (Dakota Goyo) was between 7 and 8 for the filming. Revealing mistake: In most of the scenes of the film, the famous filly is impersonated by a colt.
