Trivia: In the scene where Darth Vader and the Emperor are looking out onto the unfinished first Death Star, keep an eye out for a young Grand Moff Tarkin (played by Peter Cushing in "Star Wars").

Trivia: When Michael Chiklis' wife, Michelle (who suffers from claustrophobia), first saw him in his The Thing outfit, she suffered a panic attack and had to be escorted off the set.
Trivia: A popular film poster shows Emily and Victor reaching their hands toward one another. Emily's bony hand is on her right and Victor's suit and vest are backwards (note its buttons). Some say it was for legal reasons - Johnny Depp's name was supposed to appear on the poster first because of a contract, and they wanted the characters underneath the corresponding star names, hence the issue. Others say it was simply because the picture looked better with the bride on the right side.
Trivia: After every time travel safari, Charles Hatton greets and welcomes back his guests, comparing them to Columbus, Marco Polo, Armstrong, and 'Brubaker landing on Mars.' In 1978, director Peter Hyams, directed Capricorn One [and A Sound of Thunder], a film about a staged travel to Mars. Three astronauts were involved - Lt. Willis, Cmdr. Walker, and Col. Brubaker.
Trivia: Ben Affleck actually filmed a scene with Garner as a cameo of his "Daredevil" character Matt Murdock. But because they were in a romantic relationship at the time, the studio wanted to avoid any "Affleck/Garner" type publicity and cut the scene.
Trivia: To make Lisa frozen in the movie, the director had sculptors and painters make a life replica of Kristen Stewart through body scans.
Trivia: When Crazy Dave is putting the chain on Herbie at his yard, Herbie squirts oil all over his foot. This is a reference to the 1968 film "The Love Bug", in which Herbie did exactly the same thing to Thorndyke (David Tomlinson).
Trivia: At the part where the band arrives to play for the evil witch, one of the band members states "We've had the same stinking tour bus since 1978" which is referring to "The Great Muppet Movie" (made in 1978) in which they first mention the tour bus.
