Trivia: When Neville receives a Remembrall from his grandmother, it glows red to inform him that he forgot something. Neville says that he can't remember what he forgot. If you look closely, Neville is one of very few students not wearing his robe. He most likely forgot to put his robe on.

Trivia: The idea of having the bath house workers clean the river spirit came from an experience Hayao Miyazaki had when he was younger, where he helped clean a polluted river and one of the items removed from it was a bicycle.

Trivia: Back when the movie was in the pre-planning stages, the story was supposedly going to revolve around the GS Ball, which Ash and company carried all throughout the Orange Islands and 1/3 of the way through Johto. Evidentally, the GS Ball was going to be finally opened to reveal that Celebi was hidden inside. This may have been the movie's plot had Pokémon Crystal not come out for the GameBoy Color.
Trivia: During the sequence with the explorers' huge submarine submerging, one of the computerized "extras" can be seen waving at the camera. Trivia: Part of the movie was shot in Toronto (actually, the guys' apartment is in Toronto, I remember seeing interviews), along with where it takes place, Chicago. If you watch the credits and you watch where the cast is dancing while Al Green's singing, you can see a Tim Horton's Roll Up the Rim billboard in the background. Also, that scene takes place at the Eaton's Centre in Toronto.
Trivia: If you buy the movie on DVD you get a postcard with Mary-Kate's and Ashley's photo on it along with their signatures. The signature of Ashley is on Mary-Kate and vice-versa.
Trivia: In the scene where Archie is introduced to the forest animals, a man presses the button to turn on the song. This man is Doug Seus, the famous bear trainer whose bears have been in at least 8 other movies.
