Factual error: When Trinity is being arrested, you hear the cops all burst into the room and cock the hammers on their Glocks. The Glock doesn't have an external hammer. To load the weapon, you have to pull the slide back and release it. (00:01:50)

Factual error: Laredo drives the ship out of the starship docking station and scrapes the main hull on the walls. This would not be possible without either scraping the wings first, as they are much wider than the main ship, or turning nearly sideways, which they clearly don't.

Factual error: It is said in the film that Ice Cube's character works in an airport in Detroit. When the scene shows Ice Cube at work as a baggage handler, there are mountains in the background. There are no mountains in the Detroit area. (00:14:10)

Factual error: Near the beginning when the boat pulls up and the guy on the boat tells the blond convict he's got a beauty 13 foot "Tiger shark" that's up in some sort of sling, the so called tiger shark is actually the same robot mako shark from the rest of the movie, just with stripes on it. Tiger sharks have a blunt rounded nose, not a pointed one like a great white. (00:07:35)

Factual error: In the gunfight on the Nile-boat, you can often see (and hear) Rick fire his revolvers 20-24 times in totum without reloading. The guns he has would only take 6 rounds per gun (MAS 1873 revolvers).

Factual error: The priest says that St. John saw the number 666 in his vision, but it was actually 999 inverted. St. John wouldn't read modern Arabic numerals like we do, it would be Roman numerals. The number 666 would actually be DCLXVI. (01:05:40)

Factual error: At the beginning of the film, with the boat chase down the River Thames, Bond manages to get from the Vauxhall HQ of MI6 to Docklands in a remarkably short time. To travel the distance in the time that it takes him, you would need to be going at about 700 mph.

Factual error: When they show the capital building in Washington DC it is still under construction, but it was actually finished in 1864 - 5 years before the movie's set.

Factual error: Porter cuts the fuel line on the car but in reality, fuel lines are mostly steel except for a few joints which are only a few inches long. There would be no rubber tube long enough to be cut as shown in the film. (01:01:30)

Factual error: When the drug lord hands Malone the gun near the end to shoot the double-crosser, the hammer is cocked back. The drug lord then opens the cylinder and takes out all bullets but one. There are 2 mistakes here: 1) There are no revolvers that open up with the hammer cocked, to avoid accidental firing. They all stay locked shut until the hammer is put back down. 2) The bullet is in the wrong position to be fired next, yet it fires on the first attempt. It should be in the first position to the right (one o'clock) from the hammer.

Factual error: At the beginning, the MacManus brothers are attending a Catholic mass. The priest is saying the Our Father, and concludes it with "For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory for ever and ever." However, Catholics do not include this line when they say this prayer - only Protestants say this. Also, the prayer is never said before the priest gives his homily as it is in the movie.

Factual error: When Austin sees the reflection of the assassin in Robin's eyes, it should be a reverse image since it's a reflection, but it's not. The assassin is seen raising his right hand both times when the reflection should make it look like it's his left.

Factual error: Dr. Lane must have become a pretty good typist by the end of the film. Not only can he perfectly type in Hebrew characters on a perfectly normal US keyboard (which, for example, has no four H's like Hebrew but one), he can also type at a ten character per second speed with one finger, not mentioning that he's only pressing keys around J.

Factual error: The clothing and most noticeably the armour of the Viking warriors is a very higgledy piggledy collection of dress from different places and times in history. Only Buliwyf actually seems to be wearing armour of Viking origin, some of the others have Spanish Conquistador armour and helms from centuries after the film is set and another wears a Roman gladiator's helm complete with face mask, another of the group is seen to be wearing a kilt (the redhead conveniently played by one of the two Scottish actors used as Vikings)which may well have been worn concurrently by their celtic neighbours but his kilt is quite modern in design.

Factual error: Tony the disco bandit is dancing just after Casanova is released. He looks at the record player and sleeve. The record is a relatively modern vinyl stereo LP at a speed of 33 RPM. But the record player is a really antique machine for bakelite mono records that play at 78 RPM. Even if it could play the record, the sound would have been completely wrong.

Factual error: While directors certainly take their liberties with the military, is it reasonable to think that the security would be so lax at a government NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) research laboratory that you could just kill two guards and walk in and open a cabinet and "hey, there's that super-secret, super-volatile weapon we've been looking for." The military takes their security far more seriously than Hollywood interprets it.

Factual error: Grizzly bears are not present as far East as Maine and therefore would not have been anywhere near Lake Placid.
