Revealing mistake: When all the kids are in the diner just before Chunk knocks over the water jug, Mikey starts to bang on the ground with a bar. When Brand stops him, Mikey calls him by his real name Josh. This is verified on the DVD by Sean Astin himself, in the commentary. (00:40:40)
Revealing mistake: 1955 skateboard chase scene around town square. Note in this scene a metal device has been added between the kicktail and the back truck of the skateboard to create the sparks, then disappears and reappears throughout the whole chase scene. (01:03:40)
Revealing mistake: When the pancakes are sticking to the ceiling, you can see that when one hits the ceiling, it jumps. The pancakes were actually being dropped on the floor with an upside down shot. (00:05:45)
Revealing mistake: When Mombi's headless body wakes up and begins to walk towards Dorothy, you can see a black, blurry haze around her neck in two shots, where an effect was used to remove it.
Revealing mistake: When Daryl plays F1 Pole Position, the camera shows the full television screen for four seconds. The time remaining for each lap is decreasing faster than time progresses. Within three seconds of film, roughly six seconds pass in-game. When the car moves faster later on, the screen is tightly cropped to hide effects on the statistics. From the graphics this is the Atari 5200 version, which cannot compute quickly enough to represent that speed visually, and the score of 79950 is normally attainable, so the game itself is unchanged. The only conclusion is that the video is simply sped up.
Revealing mistake: When Tenderheart Bear confronts Nicholas in the Cave, the light of fire Nicholas has lit casts a shadow of Tenderheart Bear on the wall of the cave. However, when Tenderheart Bear moves his arms, the shadow stays the same.
Revealing mistake: When Anne comes home after Gilbert helped her with a hand out of the buggy you can see Matthew Cuthbert reading a newsletter. All pages of the newsletter has the same picture and text on it, even the inside.
Revealing mistake: Every time Teek runs, the leaves and branches around flutter up and down in a high speed, revealing the scene has been speeded up.
