Superman (1978)

Stupidity: Given his speed, surely Superman could've stopped both missiles with no problem.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The missiles have a pretty decent head start as they are launched while Superman is still in captivity. When we see him catch up to the first one, we see that he is flying faster than the missile, but not by much. Just enough to catch up.

Stupidity: After going through being stuck on a deserted island for 15 years and finally being rescued and brought back to civilization again, you would think if Skipper was going to sail out with the castaways on his new Minnow boat, he would pick an enclosed lake this time as opposed to the open ocean – now they got stuck on their island again because of that decision.
