Other mistake: According to the big photograph in their respective offices Bressler and the DA share the same pair of little daughters. (00:17:05 - 01:10:10)
Other mistake: At the end just as Carter is about to be shot, he is facing the sea as he goes to throw his gun away. At this point the gunman fires and hits Carter square in the forehead. The position of the gunman is shown as being behind Carter and to his right (this is seen when the gunman lines up to take aim). Even though Carter leans back as he throws his gun away, he would have been hit somewhere on the right side of his head or temple at best.
Other mistake: When Cornelius and Zira should escape through the mechanical door that is opened by a knob in the guard's box there is no way that Cornelius could see which knob he should press, because one of the guards has his face turned to the window that they are hiding under.
Other mistake: At the very beginning of the film, we see Christie commit a murder at the end of the Second World War whilst wearing the uniform of a Special Constable. Christie served during the First World War, and he wears the ribbons of the 1914 or 1914/15 Star, the British War Medal and the Victory Medal on his tunic. Unfortunately, whoever put them on put the bar upside down - they read from left to right VM, BWM, Star.
Other mistake: The escaping prisoners gain shoes when, for most of their stay in prison, they were barefoot.
Other mistake: At the very start of the chase scene, where the shooter tries to kill Popeye, he looks up to the shooter's position. There are at least 6-7 floors of the building. When Popeye looks over the edge, he can see the shooter running away from the building. In the next scene, he is chasing the shooter on foot and is not far behind him. By the time Popeye had run back down all those flights of stairs, the shooter would be long gone.
