Trivia: As noted in her memoir 'My Life with Bonnie and Clyde', upon seeing the movie, the real Blanche Barrow described the on screen Blanche saying, "That movie made me out like a screaming horse's ass."

Trivia: When Commandant Burger yells "Silence!" to Bo West during the parade inspection, West drops the rifle on Burger's foot. Jim Dale accidentally dropped the rifle on Kenneth Williams' foot, his painful reaction was genuine and the injury caused Williams to limp for the remainder of his scenes. Dale swore it was accidental but Williams insisted in his autobiography that it was deliberate.

Trivia: When Charlton Heston first arrives at the Flatiron Ranch, some ranch hands recognize the pack-horse that Heston is leading, and they call the horse by name: "Bright Eyes." A year later, Heston appeared in the first "Planet of the Apes" movie, where he himself is nicknamed "Bright Eyes" by Dr. Zira.
