Trivia: Tippi Hedren actually received a cut on her face by a bird in one of the shots.
Trivia: Red Grant has no dialogue until he first meets Bond. He first speaks in a rich, upper-class English accent. After Grant has revealed his true identity to Bond, his English accent changes into a lower-class Irish accent as he explains the SPECTRE background plot.
Trivia: While Steve McQueen performed most of his own stunts, the only stunt he didn't perform was the 60 foot jump over the Austrian-Swiss border fence. The jump was performed by stuntman Bud Ekins, who later doubled for McQueen in "Bullitt."
Trivia: The attempt to make the locations look wild and uninhabited were obviously not altogether successful. Near the beginning of the movie, some boys are sitting in a sandy clearing in public-school blazers. On the right of the screen you can clearly see a tent peg with ANTONY M written on it. Also, as one of Jack's choirboy-hunters thrashes through the undergrowth, look closely and you can see that he accidentally impales an old beer can.
Trivia: Peter Joshua was named after Director Stanley Donen's two sons, Peter and Joshua.
Trivia: Julie Harris was very aloof during filming and would often ignore her co-stars behind the scenes - especially Claire Bloom. Bloom felt very hurt by this. However, after filming, Harris showed up at Bloom's house with a gift and revealed that she actually really liked Bloom and her other co-stars. She behaved as she did during filming because she was trying to stay in-character between takes, and was worried that her performance as an outsider would suffer if she was friendly with her co-stars.
