Other mistake: When Bowie and his men first enter the Alamo, Travis calls for the colors ceremony and the detail marches to the flagpole. One section is ordered to "halt", then the order "about face" is given. However, the detail does a "right face" instead.
Other mistake: When the planes from the carrier Ark Royal first spot a ship through a hole in the cloud cover we see a ship sailing along. (The Sheffield, which they mistakenly attack). Later, they supposedly spot the Bismarck, yet we see exactly the same ship sailing along through the same hole in cloud cover.
Other mistake: In the shower scene, Marion Crane's palm looks water wrinkled as if she's been in the shower for quite a long time even though she was only in for a few moments before Norman stabs her. Also, when Norman drags her out of the bathroom, Marion's legs are stiff and together and she has her toes pointed.
Other mistake: When encased in rock, George lights a match to see the current time dial on his machine. But the dial is backlit every other time its shown.
Other mistake: When passengers are supposed to be panicking on the deck of the ship, there is a woman close to the camera who is obviously enjoying herself immensely.
Other mistake: Early in the film Sgt Wilkins goes into Inspector Mills' office leaving Thurston dealing with the public at the counter. When Wilkins comes out of the office, exactly the same dialogue is repeated by Thurston and a man making a complaint about dangerous driving .
Other mistake: When Pollyanna and Aunt Polly are trying on clothes, Pollyanna puts on a hat that is flat. Aunt Polly shakes her head and then she approves of another hat that is fuller. At church Pollyanna is wearing the flat hat.
Other mistake: When the character plays the guitar throughout the movie, there are obviously no strings attached to the guitar.
Other mistake: At the start of the film, a rope is lowered to a milkman from a prison cell window. However, you can see there are not any windows in the wall where the milkman pulls up.
Other mistake: Near the end of the movie, when an Air Force sergeant is looking at the airfield through binoculars, the binoculars are up against his forehead, not his eyes. (01:23:00)
