Audio problem: After Captain Lasard delivers his inspiring speech to "Nail these punks," one of the cops stands up and yells "Let's kick ass." even though his lips aren't moving.

Suggested correction: Looked like his lips were moving to me.

lartaker1975

They weren't moving. He had a big smile on his face but for him to say, "Let's kick ass." would be impossible without his lips making the necessary movements to say it or with an enormous smile.

I just watched this movie and his lips WERE moving.

lartaker1975

I've seen the scene and the mistake is valid. His mouth doesn't move in any significant way for him to say what is dubbed over. His lips barely move as if he simply took a breath.

Scream (1996)

Revealing mistake: Sidney is teasing Billy, and as a sort-of-reward to him she flashes him before he goes. That's the idea, but in the view from behind you can actually see through the nightie the shoulderstrap of a bra. (00:16:55)

Sammo

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Could she have had a bra that undoes at the front and quickly flashed him?

To actually answer the question; her hand is on full display, holding the nightie open. She'd still have to open the bra. You can technically argue that you can't see her other hand, which she could be simultaneously maneuver to pull down the cup of the bra and expose a nipple, since there's hardly any time to undo it fully and she'd have to fasten it back afterwards. Or that cupless bras exist. Truth is, she opens her casual, normal, comfy nightwear during the unexpected visit of her boyfriend, and the way the scene is shot leaves no room to interpretation.

Sammo

This is a question, not a correction.

Ghosts (US) (2021)

Correction: You should watch the show more to understand what happened. Flower closed The Vault door. The Vault was made of material that ghosts can not go through, which is how Elias was trapped in there as a ghost. Ghosts basically bounce off The Vault material, so the door closed when it was pushed.

Sneeze - S6-E2

Continuity mistake: When Clark blows out the barn doors, they go out at a fairly low angle to the ground. But when they come down next to Lois they drop down straight out of the sky.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The pieces of the barn and door blown off are on screen for a second or less and don't travel far enough on screen for you to predict their trajectory. They could have easily been moving upwards without being able to tell. The barn door travelled far enough that it would have risen higher into the air.

Season 3 generally

Corrected entry: In the season 3 episode with Justin, the character who can see people's deaths, we are told he was born on the day of the meteor shower. This would make him 4-5 years younger than Clark and Lana (judging by their ages in the pilot), yet he is somehow in high school with them and getting the same homework. How can this be possible?

Shay

Correction: The kid had previously been home schooled so he could have easily been advanced for his age and there fore in a higher grade than most kids his age.

Correction: First, his name was Jordan. Second, it's been well established that Lana was 3 years old at the time of the meteor shower, so 4-5 years is just wrong. Third, it's established Jordan is a freshman, which Lana and Clark are not. Having the same class as other students doesn't mean they're in the same grade. And I often was a year younger than kids in my grade (without anyone skipping or being held back a year), so it's possible Jordan is a freshman while Lana and Clark are still juniors.

Spell - S4-E8

Corrected entry: After Chloe, Lana and Lois vanish from Clark's barn you can see Clark's chest with blood streaking down. The problem is the wounds are too far apart to have been made by Chloe's hand.

Correction: They were made by magic, since it is magic that he is vulnerable to.

This correction is missing the point. We know it was magic, but Chloe used her physical hand to scratch him, instead of something like scratching at the air and having the magic do the scratching.

Tempest (1) - S1-E21

Corrected entry: As Jonathan reads the paper on the plant closing there is a nice up close shot of the front page. It reads "Management Problems Sited". That should be Cited, not sited.

Correction: "Dewey Defeats Truman." Newspaper headlines can have errors in them. It happens. Jay Leno has a whole bit devoted to it.

Misspellings and using the incorrect word like this are considered valid mistakes (unless intentionally done with a valid reason, like kids spelling cemetery as semetery.) And printing outcomes that you're certain to happen before they do to get papers out on time isn't a spelling or grammar error.

Redux - S2-E6

Corrected entry: Clark is supposed to hide his powers from everyone. When the other swimmer in the final race starts to drown Clark uses his super speed to get him off of the bottom of the pool. Everyone who was in the pool area had their eyes on the drowning kid so somebody should have seen Clark just appear at his side.

Correction: People would care more about him getting saved than who was saving him, so, no, they wouldn't have noticed Clark. He likely went slow enough as to not draw too much attention, yet of course still fast enough to save the one drowning.

Knever

The mistake is valid. Chrissy brings everyone's attention to Troy struggling in the water so people are stand at the edge of the pool looking into it before Clark reacts. Clark then uses his super speed to get to Troy on the bottom in an instant. People watching would have seen Clark move like a blur and then appear at Troy's side. When he brings him up, he moves at normal human speed.

Collateral (2004)

Corrected entry: In the final scenes as Annie and Max disembark the train, the marquee reads "Today is Sunday, June 25, 2004." June 25, 2004 was a Friday.

Correction: The sign says "Jan 25", meaning January. January 25, 2004 was a Sunday.

Judge Dredd (1995)

Corrected entry: When Rico is making the clones, he says "these are your brothers and sisters." If the clones were clones of him and his DNA, they'd all turn out male, i.e. just brothers.

Correction: Men have an X and Y chromosome, where women have two X chromosomes. Surely with the technology to create new clones in 24 hours, they could alter the chromosomes at a precise point to make some of the subjects female.

Jazetopher

Not only would that cause a high rate of "birth" defects, but if you're altering their chromosomes they're not clones anymore.

I think the correction may have misled you. You wouldn't be "altering" the chromosomes or causing birth defects. One would just need to replace the Y-chromosome with an exact copy of the X-chromosome. All the females would still share the same DNA with him. Then it comes down to semantics if you want to call that a clone or not. For simplicity sake, they choose to.

Spirit - S4-E18

Revealing mistake: After everything with Dawn is over Clark goes back to the prom. Clark asks Lois if she wants to dance. Lois says "I'm not the one you want to dance with." and she nods to the door. The shot switches to show Lana walking in to the prom. When Lois makes her nod to the door Lana would have been completely out of sight. Lois nods before Lana even enters the room.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: We never see Lana walking into the gym. She's just standing at the door, nervous about going in. We don't know how long she was standing there. Not to mention the fact that the scene of Lana at the door could have happened at the time Lois was making her comment and Lana walked in before the first time we see Lois look at the door, before she nods.

Krypto - S4-E14

Factual error: Clark huddles over Krypto to protect him from the blast of the exploding van. He does not cover Krypto's head before the blast of fire hits them yet Krypto shows no sign of damage. At the very least the fire should have singed his fur.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: There's nothing to suggest a dog with super powers would get singed from the blast. He's already been seen jumping through fire and Clark carried him through the fire again with no fur being singed.

Unsafe - S4-E11

Factual error: Alicia gives Clark the necklace with red kryptonite and this causes him to break Alicia's bracelet a few shots later. She then is able to teleport once it is removed. Now, according to the story, that bracelet prevents her from teleporting by releasing 'trace' amounts of lead into her bloodstream. If that were the case she would have to wait until the trace amounts were cleared from her system to start teleporting again.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: The way her powers work is unknown. Her body may be able to quickly remove trace amounts of lead from her body, which is why she would need to constantly have trace amounts put into her bloodstream.

Facade - S4-E3

Continuity mistake: When the mirror falls on Lana and shatters on her, you can see that there are bleeding cuts on the left side of her face. However, for the rest of the episode, there are no cuts on the left side of the face (where they should be) but there are cuts on the right side of her face.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: When the mirror falls, we only see her left side. But in the hospital you can plainly see both cheeks were cut up, the right one a bit more. Throughout the episode though, the cuts on the left side never disappear and there just seems to be more shots of her right side when she's out of the hospital.

Bishop73

Factual error: Prochnow is addressed as "Major," in English, but he wears the collar tabs of an SS lieutenant colonel. He should've been addressed as "Obersturmbannfuhrer," or, in English, as "Colonel," because lieutenant colonels are acceptably addressed as "Colonel," as are full colonels.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Obersturmbannfuher is also incorrect. The single oak leaf on each lapel of the uniform is the insignia for a full Colonel or Standartenführer. Therefore it would be acceptable to address him as Colonel because that is his rank.

This isn't a valid correction because you're agreeing he was called by the wrong rank. If you disagree with the word and want to make the entry more clear, do a word change.

Memoria - S3-E19

Continuity mistake: During the flashback that happens at the Luthor mansion, the one that starts with the cup shattering on the floor, young Lex is shown peeking through a slightly cracked open door. Just after Lionel asks the nanny to give him Julian there is a shot of Lex peeking in and you can see that he has hair on his forehead. Now Lex, at this point, would have been bald, as a result of the meteor shower in Smallville for several years and would have no hair at all on his head in this flashback. In fact when Lionel finally realizes that Lex is outside the door we see that Lex has no hair on his head.

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: Lex is bald but still has eyebrows. There's never a shot of young Lex with hair on his head. You never even see his head when he's peeking, but you do see the hair from his eyebrows.

Continuity mistake: In the department store as Clark is talking with Mary, the lingerie sales lady, his left arm is supporting him on the glass counter as he is standing. The next shot when Rusty approaches, Clark is now bent down with his left arm resting on the counter.

Scott215

Upvote valid corrections to help move entries into the corrections section.

Suggested correction: You actually see Clark go from sitting on the counter to bending down as the saleslady is modelling the undergarment.

That's not the part the mistake is talking about. The mistake is valid. Clark is sitting in the counter but is off screen when he changes position (so you don't actually see it). When Rusty enters the shot, Clark's hand is in the counter. In the next shot, his elbow is on the counter, with no time elapsing.
