Visible crew/equipment: Hagrid surprises Harry with the box of birthday cake and Harry opens the box. In the close-up of the cake, as Harry holds the box with his left hand and moves the blue string with his right hand, a crew member's finger is visible under the box, over Harry's left shoulder. Obviously it is someone holding the box underneath, while Harry holds it with one hand. (00:14:10)

Continuity mistake: At the hut on the rock, Harry lies on a grey blanket spread on the ground between the fireplace and the couch. When Hagrid bangs on the door, Harry quickly jumps up and hides, leaving the blanket behind. Though the blanket is visible on the ground, in some shots, it is however, gone in the three wide shots with the Hagrid body double, as he zaps a tail on Dudley, then as all the Dursleys run upstairs, as well as the shot after Hagrid says, "We're a bit behind schedule, best be off." Visible crew/equipment: When Hagrid enters the hut on the rock, as well as when he leaves, the bare floor near the front door is clearly visible. However, when he says, "It's not everyday your young man turns eleven, now is it?" in the next shot as Hagrid sits down, on the floor to his left is the crew's mat with marks for the Dursleys (Fiona Shaw and Richard Griffiths), who stand near the door. Continuity mistake: After shopping in Diagon Alley, when Harry confronts Hagrid about Voldemort, in the first overhead wide shot Hedwig's cage is right next to Hagrid on the bench and is positioned a particular way. Yet in the next shot, the cage is much farther from Hagrid and is positioned the opposite way on the bench. (00:28:45)

Continuity mistake: When Hagrid and Harry step out the back door of the Leaky Cauldron, in the overhead shot there are many glass bottles on the floor, between the barrels. However, after Hagrid says, "Welcome Harry, to Diagon Alley," as they walk out the barrels are visible behind Hagrid and there are no glass bottles between the barrels. The stone ground differs in both shots too. (00:20:05)

Visible crew/equipment: When Hermione and Harry go back in time, they duck and hide from Malfoy (after being punched) and his friends as they leave. The bulging rectangular outline of the transmitter (for hidden cordless mic) is visible at her lower back, under her pink jacket. It is visible in a few shots, including when they are at the pumpkin patch. The outline of Harry's transmitter is visible at his back, as he bows to Buckbeak at the pumpkin patch, when they rescue him. (01:45:10)

Visible crew/equipment: When Harry, Hermione and Ron reach the common room, on their way to the trap door, they're confronted by Neville, who asks, "You're sneaking out again, aren't you?" In the wide shot as Harry says, "Now Neville, listen...," Rupert Grint's (Ron) tape mark is visible at his feet. (01:53:35)

Continuity mistake: When Harry Ron and Hermione run to see McGonagall, there is an hourglass, a large book and a candle all sitting directly on top of her desk. Their positions change, especially in the shot facing McGonagall, when she says, "I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here...," not only is there is another small book next to the candle, the hourglass now sits on the large book. The long iron inkwell in the middle of the desk has also been turned around. (01:51:45)

Continuity mistake: At Hagrid's hut, when he places the dragon egg on the table, the book lies right next to the cup and saucer. Yet in the shots looking up from the edge of the table, directly in front of Hagrid and the egg/Norbert, the book and cup/saucer are far apart for these particular shots. (01:39:50)

Continuity mistake: When trying to catch Neville's Remembrall, Harry flies straight for McGonagall's window. The window visible in the wide shot has a horizontal beam that crosses the center vertical beam, yet the window visible in the close-up just has the vertical beam. Revealing mistake: During Madame Hooch's flying lesson, as Ron tries to get his broomstick to float up to his hand, Ron moves his head towards his right to be in perfect alignment with the handle of his broomstick, as it flies up to whack him in the head. (00:55:40)

Continuity mistake: During Madame Hooch's flying lesson, in a close-up Ron says, "Up! Up!" to his broomstick. In the next wide shot of all the students, Ron stands next to Harry, who holds his broomstick, and just before it cuts to the next shot, Ron visibly grips his broomstick as it floats up to his hand, as well Seamus, who grabs hold of his too. Yet, in the next shot Seamus still says, "Up! Up!" and in Ron's next close-up, he still says, "Up!" to his broomstick still lying on the ground, which promptly smacks him in the head. (00:55:30)

Continuity mistake: When Madame Hooch approaches and then welcomes the class to their first flying lesson, the angle at which their shadows are cast changes dramatically in consecutive shots throughout this scene; and in some shots there are no shadows. (00:55:00)

Revealing mistake: At the zoo, Harry looks to his right, at the 'bred in captivity' sign of the Python. In this close-up, the green plant that is below, to the side of the exhibit sign, is protruding out past where the glass supposedly is, yet this is BEFORE the glass disappears. As a matter of fact, this plant, nearest the exhibit sign, changes its position considerably throughout these shots. (00:06:50)

Continuity mistake: When Harry walks into the kitchen, Petunia tells him to take care of the breakfast and two of Dudley's presents, the blue design and the yellow, are visible on the couch. When Petunia asks, "Aren't they wonderful darling?" the camera pans the presents, including the ones from the earlier shot. When Vernon says, "Well some of them are quite a bit bigger than last year's," the two presents are again visible. The position of these gifts differs in all shots. (00:04:50)

Continuity mistake: After Lockhart releases the pixies there is an overhead shot of Neville being lifted to the ceiling while students down below start to flee the classroom, including Malfoy and Goyle. In the next shot as Malfoy and Goyle, who are still at the desks, start to run towards the camera, Lockhart is visibly running up the stairs in the background, though in the following shots he's downstairs. Revealing mistake: Throughout the Quidditch match, Harry's right arm guard is visible. At the top, over his elbow, there is an attached strip of leather that is tied securely around his arm and the three short straps are snugly buckled around his forearm. However, as the Bludger approaches just before breaking his arm, the ties on the strip of leather are GONE, though visibly tucked up in the close-up and the buckled straps are considerably LONGER, deliberately causing the arm guard to be very loose. The position of the arm guard differs in the two close-ups as well. (00:57:10)

Visible crew/equipment: As Harry runs from the Basilisk after Riddle shouts, "Parseltongue won't save you now, Potter...," there is a close-up of the Basilisk's face. In the next shot, which faces Harry's back, the overhead studio lighting bar with multiple lights is reflected in the puddle in front of Harry. (02:09:55)

Visible crew/equipment: Upon entering the Chamber of Secrets, Harry spots Ginny and runs towards her. After the last close-up of Harry's face as he runs, there is shot that faces Ginny, showing Harry's back. At the very start of this shot, on the bottom left corner of the screen two overhead studio lights, other equipment and scaffolding are perfectly visible, reflected in the puddle to Harry's left. Later when he runs out of the pipe, towards Ginny, some light reflections are visible as well. (Visible on DVD fullscreen.) (02:04:40)
