Continuity mistake: When Shelley and Skyler are in the kitchen, there's a plate on the table with pizza crusts on it. Between closeups and wide shots the crusts continually switch from the left to the right side.

Continuity mistake: When Matilda is on the counter and there's spinach sauce all over it, in a wideshot as Zinnia runs to her, Matilda has the jar of spinach sauce in her hand. Yet in the next shot she suddenly doesn't. (00:02:25)

Continuity mistake: When Harry puts baby Matilda in the back of the car, in her baby car-seat, in one shot she is wrapped in a pink blanket with blue straps over her, but under the blanket. Yet when the car jerks, the blue strap is suddenly over the blanket. (00:01:20)

Continuity mistake: When Miss Trunchbull walks out of the school doors, at Matilda's first day of school, she walks down the steps and everyone runs a far distance away and the crowds of children are fairly scattered and distant. Yet in the next shot of the Trunchbull's feet, there's suddenly a large definitive crowd standing much nearer to her. Then as the Trunchbull walks down the stairs, in an overhead shot the crowds of children back far away from her, yet in the following shot the crowd is back to standing right by the stairs. Continuity mistake: When Miss Trunchbull first walks out of the school doors, the children sitting on the steps in front of her and on the concrete sides of the steps get up and run off twice between shots. (00:22:30)

Continuity mistake: When Miss Trunchbull walks out of the school doors, on Matildas first day, the doors close twice. Once in an overhead shot and then again in a close view of the Trunchbull's feet. (00:22:45)

Continuity mistake: When Miss Trunchbull first walks out of the school doors, on Matildas first day, she walks down the stairs slowly, and in an aerial view she holds her riding crop in her right hand, down by her side. It then cuts to a behind shot of her and she is now instantly holding the crop with both hands, behind her back. (00:22:50)

Continuity mistake: When Harry puts Million Dollar Sticky on the TV, between shots Zinnia puts her sunglasses on twice. (00:18:45)

Continuity mistake: When Matilda is talking to her mum about her first day of school, and her mum is on the phone, Matilda holds her books against her chest, and between shots (both of her arms are against the books) her arms go from, the left arm being above the right, to vice versa then to back. (00:31:55)

Continuity mistake: When Matilda makes the chalk write the message on the blackboard, the writing changes. Watch the "Agatha," especially. The handwriting changes and the comma changes length, as well as most of the message changing. Also at the end of the message Matilda "writes" two long lines under it, which cross over. Yet later when Miss Trunchbull flies off the globe you can see there is just one line under the message, not two. (01:20:20 - 01:23:00)

Continuity mistake: In the showroom, there is an old car covered in dust with "$100" witten in the dust. Harry then adds two more zeros after this. Through the garage scene, the two zeros noticeably change. They go from drawn far apart and unperfectly round to touching each other and perfectly round. (00:14:20 - 00:15:50)

Continuity mistake: At his showroom, when Harry applies glue all over the bumper, the position and amount of glue changes greatly between the wideshot of him, and the closeup of the 'Super Super Glue.' (00:14:25)

Continuity mistake: When Father McFeely arrives at Hell House, Megan's Mother opens the door, and he walks forward and raises his hand to his hat. Then in the next behind shot his hand is down but in the next shot his hand is on his hat again, and he then takes his hat off. (00:01:55)

Continuity mistake: In the opening scene when the priest is playing the piano, in close shots of him you can see the back of the musical sheets sitting on the piano, and they are just pages of musical notes. Yet between two shots a book which says "Eckstein" appears. Then in the next close shot the "Eckstein" booklet isn't there and just musical sheets are visible. (00:00:25)

Continuity mistake: When Roberta is in Brian's apartment, she is putting curlers in her hair and then Brian walks in and they start talking. Roberta then stands up and Brian kisses her neck and as she turns around you can see the curlers have disappeared.

Continuity mistake: When Roberta argues with her son about his father in the kitchen, there are some cupboard doors which go from open to closed then back.

Continuity mistake: When Cindy is driving along, singing, both of her windows are rolled down about halfway. We can see the window next to Cindy is rolled down halfway in the first two closeups of Cindy. It then cuts to a wideshot of the car and then another closeup, and the window is now fully winded down. Cindy clearly never winds the window down, it has just rolled down between shots. (00:13:40)

Continuity mistake: After Lucy's meeting about her new "Poise" design, she storms out frustrated, and whacks a box to the floor causing items such as a few bags to scatter on the floor. Between shots the bags move majorly. (01:10:45)

Continuity mistake: When Jenna and her boyfriend sit on the sofa, there is a basketball on the sofa which disappears between shots. (00:45:15)

Continuity mistake: When Jenna goes to her boyfriends house, they sit on the sofa and then the boyfriend places two glasses on the table. He then puts his right arm around Jenna, and his left arm lays on his leg. Then when it cuts his left arm is laying on a cushion. (00:45:15)
