Trivia: The character Morph was created for the show, though he was based on a character from the comics called Changeling. The creators of the show created the character with the sole purpose of killing him off, in order to establish stakes, though he was later brought back because of his popularity. Showrunner Eric Lewald stated that originally the character of Thunderbird was going to be used instead of Morph, but they then decided against killing off who would have been the only Native American character on the show.
Trivia: The team roster depicted in this series is largely made up of members of the Blue Team (Cyclops, Wolverine, Beast, Gambit, Rogue and Jubilee) that was established in the first issue of X-Men Vol. 2, with Storm and Jean Grey representing the Gold Team. Most of the characters' designs are also based on artist Jim Lee's redesigns.
Trivia: When Beast is looking through his photo album, one picture shows him wearing a shirt that says "Shazbot!", which is a word popularized by Robin Williams from the TV series "Mork and Mindy." (00:09:25)

Trivia: This episode has a similar plot to "Invasion of the Body Snatchers," and in particular the scene where Warlock deduces that President Kelly has been assimilated by the Phalanx because he knew of Warlock's association with Beast without Beast having told him is a reference to the 1978 film where it is deduced that the police are pod people when they acknowledge the name of Donald Sutherland without him having told them. Trivia: The reptile-like aliens in this episode are based on the Brood, an insect-like alien species from the comics. Apparently the Fox censors found the Brood from the comics to be too scary for young children, so their appearance was changed and their name was changed to the Colony. Although a Brood alien can be seen in the season 2 episode "Mojovision" and a Brood queen can be seen in the season 3 episode "Cold Comfort."
Beyond Good and Evil: Part 4 - S4-E11
Trivia: At the end of the episode, Archangel tells Psylocke that although he doesn't know why, he was concerned for her safety when she was held captive by Apocalypse. This is a nod to the two having been a romantic item in the comics at one point. (00:19:05)

Trivia: During Wolverine and Sabretooth's first joint flashback, they are shown stealing a device from Omega Red labeled "C-Synt." Trivia: The title for this episode is a reference to the film "Sex, Lies, and Videotape."
Answer: It appears a number of factors led to its demise. It was originally intended to air for 65 episodes, but its popularity extended that. However, there were continual production quality problems, issues regarding whether the content was suitable enough for children, as well as financial considerations that finally led to it being ended.
