Continuity mistake: When Holly is talking to the toaster and they say about currenty bread, the toaster's handle is half way down. In the next shot it is at the top. (00:08:00)

Visible crew/equipment: When Kryten walks into the cockpit to offer Lister a beer, a boom mic can be seen at the top of the screen by Kryten's head. (00:10:05)

Continuity mistake: When the Cat visits Lister, Lister puts his arm down on the bed, but in the next shot he is leaning on his hand. (00:14:45)
Revealing mistake: When the simulant hits Able over the head with the steel bar, you can clearly see it bend. He hits him a second time a few moments later and it is straight again. (00:14:45)
Continuity mistake: When Rimmer is talking about Yvonne McGruder, Lister is not wearing a hat. When we see the black box recording of the conversation, Lister is now wearing one. (00:08:25 - 00:16:45)
Answer: Presumably he does, but it's never been used in any material related to the show. He is the only Cat left (as shown in Series 1), so even if he had once had a name, nobody would know it.
