Ford v Ferrari (2019)

Trivia: The Le Mans scenes had to be shot on multiple circuits in order to accurately represent the 60s course, which made continuity extremely difficult in terms of clock times, car positions, and weather. CGI was used extensively to prevent mistakes.

Ford v Ferrari (2019)

Trivia: Christian Bale continued an impressive history of weight gain and loss for this part - he'd put on weight for his role in Vice, and had 7 months to drop it all to play Ken Miles. He's said he just didn't eat. He's previously lost weight for The Machinist, and then gained it all back in short order for Batman Begins.

Knives Out (2019)

Trivia: Jacob Thrombey, the far-right troll, was based in part on the backlash and targeting that Rian Johnson experienced after The Last Jedi was received unfavourably by some people. He's stated it's a broader commentary on the state of social media, not about his Star Wars experience specifically. "It doesn't matter if you made a Star Wars movie or if you have a cooking YouTube channel, or you collect books on the internet, someone's gonna be yelling at you on the internet."

The Two Popes (2019)

Trivia: The director only came across Jonathan Pryce because he was searching for photos of Pope Francis, and the two people were frequently being compared as they look so similar. He looked into Pryce's body of work and realised he'd be an excellent choice for the part.

Frozen II (2019)

Trivia: Olaf looking for his friends and ending with "Sven? Samantha? I don't even know a Samantha!" may well be a very obscure reference to the BBC radio comedy panel show "I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue". The (fictional) scorer Samantha is occasionally "replaced" by an equally fictional scorer called Sven.

Frozen II (2019)

Continuity mistake: When Anna's singing "The next right thing" she puts a bag on her shoulder, with the strap on top of her hair. After the camera spins round her, her hair is suddenly on top of the strap. This bears a strong similarity to the mistake in the original Frozen where Elsa's hair passes through her shoulder - might be a deliberate nod, or else animating hair around objects is difficult enough that shortcuts are often taken.

Continuity mistake: When crew members are watching the Bruce Lee fight, some are sitting comfortably and enjoying the fight, then right before Bruce gets tossed into the car, suddenly everyone is gone.

Joker (2019)

Trivia: Director Todd Phillips has specifically said that he doesn't see this movie connecting with any other DC movies - it stands alone.
