Other mistake: Rebecca electrocuted the giant sand worm within 3' of the spaceship. After Lt Astrid arrives, some views show Rebecca out in the open, but the camera should have been obstructed by the spaceship because following front views still show Rebecca next to the spaceship. Factual error: The Channel 5 WNP Newscaster said, "it is now believed he [District Attorney Berdido] and his family were killed..." and running along the bottom of the screen was "4 confirmed dead in Fort Lauderdale gas explosion." This was a LIVE report showing two streams of water onto the house still burning inside. An investigation would barely, if at all, be started at this time and no-one would be "confirmed dead" this early. It would not even be known if anyone was home when the house exploded. Factual error: Lea went into the (locked) Navigator in the tow pound (where she works) to get a sample of the stashed heroin. Craig, with Lea's help, was able to get to the Navigator before Ballena (who "won" the auction) and drive away from the tow pound. However, they would not have keys because towed impounded vehicles do not have keys (unless the keys were left in the vehicle, which would be unlikely in this case because $15 million worth of heroin was stashed inside). Continuity mistake: The dead rabbit was thrown onto its left side with its back almost parallel to the table's edge (width) and its nose/head almost in the corner. There was a bowl of several brown eggs several inches away from the rabbit's stomach. When the camera shifts, the rabbit's head has shifted at an angle away from the corner, its rear feet are slightly hanging over the table's edge (length), the bowl of eggs is touching the rabbit's stomach, and the eggs are piled on the opposite side of the bowl. Factual error: When pit bull Shadow was chasing Phoenix, the distances between them varied - even appearing to increase - but the pit bull should have been able to quickly close the gap and catch Phoenix. In general, an adult person (about 7 mph) cannot outrun a pit bull (25-30 mph). Also, unless Shadow was trained to stop pursuing Phoenix if she got over the fence, pit bulls are actually quite good at climbing fences. (00:02:38)
Continuity mistake: David's [Ralph Fiennes] glass on the table is filled to within about 1" from the top. When he raises the glass to his mouth, the amount is about 1" lower, which may explain why the lemon slice is now floating diagonally instead of vertically. (00:01:36)
Other mistake: "Boogie" was a HS student who didn't work and lived with his financially strained (heavily in debt) parents. The Chin family was receiving past-due notices for various bills. The IRS also sent a letter of intent to levy or seize their property if they did not immediately pay $4,513.29. But Boogie had money to buy marijuana, go out to dinner with his girlfriend, go to a gym, and visit a fortune teller - each multiple times. His mother also ate out and saw a fortune teller. Factual error: Steve Trevor tells Aquaman that he is a Colonel in the US Army. But he is wearing First Lieutenant bars on his uniform.
Continuity mistake: At the restaurant, the background varies a few times behind Beth and Jack seated at a table. When the background is blurred, a young man can be seen to the left behind Beth, but he is not there when the background is clear. (Despite the different camera angle, he should still be visible.) Instead, two men are seated at the bar counter or an elevated table and a woman behind them is facing the screen. (00:11:47 - 00:12:49)
Factual error: Before Tom landed in the puddle, there was water dripping or it was raining on it, but it wasn't raining when he was on the rooftops. After Tom landed, the water drops/rain suddenly stopped. Even if the water drops were from earlier rain running off the roof or other parts of the building, they would not be hitting the whole way across the puddle or that far away from the edge of the building. Revealing mistake: It was "raining" when Francesca was driving toward the house, but her vehicle "moved out of the rain" before coming to a stop. Furthermore, when the camera returned to Francesca walking toward the house, it was not raining and the driveway did not look wet. (00:48:53)
Revealing mistake: At Wendy's 50th birthday party, the helium balloons did not move, even when her daughter Liz walked next to some of them while carrying a birthday cake with lit candles. (00:01:44)
Continuity mistake: A back view of the group of four-wheelers starting out driving through the field showed distinct tire tracks in mostly low, dry brown grass. Various other views showed little or no discernible tire tracks, tall lush green grass, and mixed dry brown and green grass. Even though the four-wheelers appeared to travel some distance, the end of the field that was visible from the onset was just reached. (00:21:35)
Deliberate mistake: The angle of the light coming from the film projector (which was up high on the back wall) was too high to actually project onto the screen across the room. Also, people were standing in front of the screen and should have been blocking part of the projection and have light on their backs but did not. The screen operated more like a DVD player on a TV. Continuity mistake: Finley carried her violin and one square suitcase out of her room to go to her audition. Sean parked at Dublin Airport and removed Finley's luggage from his trunk - two rectangular suitcases, neither matching the one Finley had. (01:44:25 - 01:45:21)
Other mistake: When Zoe Levenson first looks out the window from the spaceship, the earth is from the bottom moving towards the top, this is opposite to the ship spinning direction, which can be determined by the direction of the gravity. (00:12:50)
Revealing mistake: DEA Agent Rick Bowden was already seated "in the best position" before knowing where Ross would sit in the SF library. Chris Tarbell already had a surveillance camera behind the seat Ross chose, giving him a clear view of Ross, also before knowing where Ross was going to sit. Even if there were cameras in other positions, the DEA Agent and Chris Tarbell being at the right spots in advance was too coincidental to be by chance alone. (00:02:09 - 00:02:30)
