Puppet Master (1989)

Continuity mistake: When Blade gets on the elevator in the beginning, pay attention to the legs of the woman in the elevator. When she gets on, she is wearing black stockings. When she gets off, she is wearing cream-colored stockings. The rest of her clothes that are visible are the same (same shoes, skirt, etc.), as is the wardrobe of the man who gets on and off with her, so it's meant to be the same woman. (There's also no indication that the elevator made any stops on the way up).

Trivia: The filmmakers wanted to make a puppet that would be the perfect "opposition" to the evil Nazis in the film. They came up with the idea for a cowboy puppet, since he could represent a popular American archetype, and of course the Americans opposed the Nazis in the war. They then combined the cowboy with an old idea for a six-armed ninja puppet, resulting in the popular puppet "Six Shooter."

Trivia: Stan Lee's cameo in this TV movie is actually his first official on-screen Marvel cameo. (Not counting two previous Marvel cartoons to which he served as a narrator.) He would eventually go on to have cameos in over 50 future Marvel film and TV shows, both live-action and animated, either appearing in-person, supplying his voice and likeness, or being seen in photographs. (Plus one animated DC movie.) His final cameo was in 2019's "Avengers: Endgame" - exactly 30 years after this TV movie.

Trivia: The costume designer wanted Brad Pitt's suit to look really bad, but to her surprise, she discovered that no matter how cheap or tacky the suit was that he tried on was... he looked good in every single one. She eventually discovered the secret to finally making him look bad was to purposely put him in a suit that had the wrong measurements for his body, and give him gaudy wool ties.

Trivia: Was written at the same time as the Coen Brothers' Academy Award-winning film "No Country for Old Men." They'd alternate day-by-day. One day they'd work on "No Country " the next they're work on "Burn After Reading."

Trivia: Zack Snyder didn't want to call the film "Batman v Superman." He and writer Chris Terrio pitched multiple other titles first. Snyder wanted something more flowery, like "Son of Sun and Knight of Night, " which the studio absolutely hated, while Terrio suggested titles like "Justice League: Foundations," since it was showing how the first members of the Justice League came together. The studio wanted something more straightforward and marketable, and "Batman v Superman" was eventually picked.

Trivia: Director Alan Taylor has stated that he wasn't completely pleased with how the finished film turned out. His initial vision for the film was more whimsical, while Marvel instead wanted something more stark and dark to contrast with the vibrant first film. Several major plot points were also changed in editing and reshoots to accommodate planned future storylines. An example is Loki, who was originally killed off in the first cut, but is shown to have faked his death in the final cut.
