Character mistake: When Guile promises to rescue the hostages while on camera with Bison, he makes it a point to mention Charlie by name to reassure him that he wasn't forgotten. Anyone in charge of a major hostage recovery operation would avoid naming a specific hostage unknown to the enemy due to the special focus that the enemy may put on that hostage for further abuse. This was promptly proven when Bison specifically chose Charlie to transform into a beast due to Guile identifying him as a personal friend.

9.9/10.My favorite video game brought to the big screen. So much was done right here from casting to story to incorporating some of their moves. Sure some called it dumb or whatever but I disagree. This isn't for those people but for those of us who loved the game and wanted to see it made into a movie.Jean Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, Ming Na Wen, Wes Studi, Kylie Minogue were excellent. If anything this was the best fighting game movie of all time. I still think it's in the top 10 or so alongside Resident Evil, Super Mario Bros, Silent Hill, and Mortal Kombat. Street Fighter will always be special for me as it was the second movie I taped on VHS.

Trivia: Here's a brief list of the moves from the game that made it into the film: Ryu threw a fireball at Vega. Ryu does a hurricane kick against Vega. Vega did his rolling attack against Ryu. Ken does the standing uppercut against Sagat. E. Honda does the hand slaps against Zangief. Balrog does the wind-up punch against a Bison Trooper. Guile did two Flash Kicks against Bison. Cammy did a thrust kick against a Bison Trooper. Chun Li does the spinning bird kick against Bison.
