The One Where Ross Can't Flirt - S5-E19
Continuity mistake: After Joey runs out of the apartment to go make the fake videotape, when it cuts to Rachel walking back into the apartment the table with the tablecloth is quite far away from the front door, but when Caitlin knocks and Ross rushes to go flirt with her that table is near the door. (00:13:35 - 00:15:15)
The One Where Ross Can't Flirt - S5-E19
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the gang is watching Joey's "substitution" video, you can easily see the reflection on the television that no one is sitting on the couch, but when the camera goes back to the gang, they're sitting down on the couch. (00:19:30)
The One Where Ross Can't Flirt - S5-E19
Other mistake: While everyone's watching Law and Order for Joey's big scene, Rachel, Phoebe, Monica, and Chandler are sitting on the couch and Ross is standing behind them, but in the TV's closeup the screen reflection reveals an empty couch.
The One Where Ross Can't Flirt - S5-E19
Continuity mistake: When Ross first tries to flirt with the pizza girl he has money in his hand. When Chandler walks over he gives his own money for the pizza, she leaves, and Ross still has his money. In the next shot when he shuts the door, his hands are empty, then it is back in the next shot when Ross yells at Chandler.
The One With The Ride-Along - S5-E20
Continuity mistake: Toward the end of the episode, Rachel is back in Ross' apartment, trying to mend the ornament she broke when she was in there earlier. Ross comes in unexpectedly and she tosses the broken pieces into the lightshade, leaving the glue on the side table. In subsequent shots, the glue goes from lying on its side, to standing up, a number of times. (00:16:00)
The One With The Ride-Along - S5-E20
Continuity mistake: When Rachel is at Ross' apartment she gets the blender and while she's standing at the window talking to Monica on the phone the kitchen door is closed, then it's wide open, and then closed again.
The One With The Ride-Along - S5-E20
Plot hole: When Rachel picks up the box of photos they all fall out, because the box isn't sealed with tape or even folded properly. But there's no way for that to have happened. Monica would have brought the box from somewhere and put it on the couch, and the photos would have fallen out then, and she would have fixed it (this is Monica, after all.) The only way for this to have happened is if she put the empty box on the couch, unfolded/unsealed, and then put photos in it - which Monica would not do.
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Visible crew/equipment: A stage light can be seen above Ross when he asks Rachel how much she paid for her cat. (00:04:05)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Visible crew/equipment: A cameraman can be seen in the TV when Rachel is on about the cat she had as a kid. (00:04:25)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Continuity mistake: When Rachel mentions the cat's name, Ross has the ball. The camera does an instant cut, and Joey now has the ball. Ross did not throw the ball, as you hear the ball being caught every other time. (00:04:50)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Continuity mistake: Joey goes into the bathroom and the toilet is behind the door. In a previous episode, when Joey doesn't know about Chandler and Monica, he comes out of his room and thinks it is morning. He goes into the bathroom and Chandler pushes the door open to reveal Joey asleep on the toilet with his toothbrush in his mouth, only the toilet is now on the other side of the room, not behind the door. (00:05:20)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Continuity mistake: In the interrogation room, the blinds behind Phoebe keep going from open to closed in different shots. (00:14:10)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Audio problem: When Rachel is trying to sell the cat and someone looks the hiss is a clear overdub. (00:16:20)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Continuity mistake: When Monica says "Let's go team Monica!" Joey is holding the ball; when the camera angle changes Chandler has the ball and throws it behind him for someone else to catch. (00:18:15)
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Other mistake: The guys start the ball-throwing game at around 2 in the afternoon. Later, they mention that it's been going for 10 hours, making it around midnight. Why would Rachel, who never cooks, be defrosting a chicken? And why would she be doing so at midnight?
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Factual error: There is no way that a cop and a masseuse could have afforded an apartment in Brooklyn Heights, even in the '90s. (Brooklyn Heights was unaffordable in the '80s.) "Rent control" doesn't explain it either, as a vacant apartment - which is what they are looking for - would be raised to "market rate" if a rent-stabilized tenant moved out. This can't be written off as a character mistake: Gary is not naive or uninformed, and his accent makes clear that he is a New Yorker.
The One With The Ball - S5-E21
Continuity mistake: When Rachel is outside the coffee shop trying to sell the cat, in between shots, it goes from a standing to sitting position multiple times.
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Continuity mistake: When Rachel knocks over the cereal its position changes between shots. (00:04:15)
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Revealing mistake: When Joey and Chandler are traveling in the car, the background is a very obvious projection. (00:11:45)
The One With Joey's Big Break - S5-E22
Other mistake: When Joey and Chandler are in the cab on the bridge, Joey quickly stops the cab so Chandler can get out. However, on the screen behind, the background doesn't 'slow down' as Joey does, it just continues as if the cab is going at the same speed. Then, in the next shot, it is still. When Joey sets off again, the background stays the same and doesn't show that the cab is getting faster. (00:13:05)
Answer: The statements that she's contradicting (that it is common, it happens to every guy, and it's not a big deal), are the things that a woman commonly says to a man who is suffering from erectile difficulty, typically to assuage his bruised ego. However, most men do not believe that these statements are true, as evidenced by Chandler's outburst. He's so caught up in the proof that women are lying about it that he gives himself away.
