Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Michael Cimino
Starring: Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges, Gary Busey, George Kennedy, Geoffrey Lewis, Catherine Bach
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot successfully break into the vault and steal millions of dollars; however, during the getaway, Goody's coat gets caught on the trunklid when he jumps in the trunk. The owner of the drive-in (where they are hiding after the robbery) spots the coat and calls the police, believing that they were trying to sneak into the movie without paying. During the ensuing chase, the police shoot Goody, and Red pushes him out of the car to his death; he then knocks out Thunderbolt and kicks Lightfoot in the head before escaping in the getaway car. The police pursue Red until he crashes through the window of the store where he used to work; the security dogs in the store attack and kill Red. Thunderbolt and Lightfoot stumble across the schoolhouse where the money from the first robbery was hid; the money was still there. Thunderbolt buys a Cadillac convertible and picks up Lightfoot, who is acting strangely; Red's kick has caused an injury to Lightfoot's brain. Lightfoot dies in Thunderbolt's car, and Thunderbolt drives away as the credits roll.
Diogenes
Melody: I didn't get your name.
Lightfoot: Well, I didn't give it to ya'. My name is Lightfoot.
Melody: "Lightfoot"?
Lightfoot: That's right.
Melody: That's a dumb name. I mean, what kind of person would name a kid that, ya' know?
Lightfoot: What's your name?
Melody: Melody.
Lightfoot: "Melody"? That's not a dumb name?.. Hey, maybe we had the same father?
Question: In Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, George Kennedy isn't listed with the other main characters. Was that by choice?

Answer: He is given what it known as "last billing" (which you see as "and George Kennedy). Nowadays it can also be referred to as "special billing." This is typically done for more famous actors who are playing a smaller role, or in this case a non-titular character. It was done on purpose and most likely as part of his agent's negotiation with the film studio.
