Continuity mistake: While Hulk eats breakfast with Cap, Nat and Scott, the crepe on the top is cut in two. In the next shot it's in one piece, then in two again. (00:38:30)
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
Ending / spoiler
Directed by: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo
Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Bradley Cooper, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan
Thanos from 2014 is brought forwards to the present by his Nebula, who's replaced the newer version. He brings his army to earth but Bruce has already snapped the gauntlet, bringing all the dusted Avengers back, and their supporting armies. Both sides try to get the gauntlet - Captain Marvel arrives, destroys Thanos' ship, and nearly beats him, but he knocks her away using the power stone. Tony attacks Thanos, taking the stones out of the gauntlet and integrating them into his suit. Declaring "I'm Iron Man" he snaps his fingers, turning Thanos and his army to dust, but fatally injuring himself in the process, unable to handle the combined power of the stones. He gets a hero's funeral, attended by all of the surviving Avengers. Captain America goes back in time to return the stones to the point they were taken, ensuring no negative realities splinter off. We see Banner trying to bring him back, but he realises that Cap deliberately missed his chronological "exit" to come back to the present day. Bucky looks up and sees Cap sitting on a nearby bench, now a very old man - turns out he went back to the past and married Peggy. The film ends on a shot of them at home in the past, finally getting their long-awaited dance.
Suggested correction: The crepe is cut in two in every scene. The angle in the middle scene, does not show the cut as prominently as the first and last scene.
The mistake is valid. It's after the kids wanting the picture are leaving that you see the crepe is intact. You see the crepe from the same camera angle when the Hulk agrees to the picture and it's in half. In fact, in the shot of the crepe intact, it's completely differently coloring with less browning spots, so it's a different prop altogether.
Steve Rogers: Don't do anything stupid until I come back.
Bucky Barnes: How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you.
Trivia: The man talking to Cap at the support group about his date is Joe Russo, one of the directors of the movie.
Question: What happened to Loki? Does this mean he's now alive?
Answer: The Loki who escaped is in a different timeline, so he will not encounter the "main" versions of the characters. This version of Loki will appear in the new series.
