Predator

Visible crew/equipment: When the predator has been hit by Arnie, the camera and cable is reflected on his face. This also happens when Arnie is calling for Billy - you can see it reflected on his arm.

Visible crew/equipment: Dillon again, after having his (visible) arm shot off the Predator moves in and picks him up off the floor, at the bottom of the screen you can see the plank that is used to elevate him. (Only visible on the full-frame video).

Visible crew/equipment: When Dutch is swimming to shore in the first mud scene, at the top of the screen, there are wires or cables visible, running roughly horizontally in an elevated position, with some kind of device affixed. (01:18:24)

Visible crew/equipment: During the final battle, shortly after Dutch runs by a plant that moves and catches the Predator's eye, watch as the Predator takes a few strides from rock to rock. When he jumps down off the last rock you can see a cable above his head helping him make his jump. This same cable can also be seen from a different shot about ten seconds later when Dutch runs into the Predator. (01:29:45)

Visible crew/equipment: When Arnie says 'oh s***' and falls off the cliff, watch as the camera goes over the edge. If you look on the mountain, you can see a shadow of a black ball with a cable attached: this is the camera filming the shot which has been thrown off the cliff.

Visible crew/equipment: Watch when Arnie is sliding down the cliff: it shows a shot from his eyes looking down at his feet, and you can see the wooden platform he's sliding down.

Visible crew/equipment: When Mac and Dillon are hiding in the hole talking about how they are going to kill the predator, a boom mic is briefly visible at the top of the screen between them. (01:10:20)

Revealing mistake: As the Predator tends to his wounded leg, one of his claws can be seen bending as if made of rubber.

Trivia: Jesse Ventura could only carry enough blank ammunition to fire "Old Painless" for five seconds even though the props department had dramatically reduced the cyclic rate of the weapon to allow the camera to film the barrels rotating.

Question: What's up with the predator's eyes glowing for a second while it's invisible, and does anyone know why the predators in the other movies don't do this?

Answer: In the shots where we can see what the Predator sees, sometimes when he is focusing on someone or something, we hear a kind of flash noise as he zooms in on the object. When we see the Predator's eyes flashing/glowing, that is when he is zooming in on what he's looking at.

dan coakley..

Answer: They do add the flash eyes while cloaked effect in Alien vs Predator: Requiem and Predators. I think it's both when it uses zoom-in vision and maybe to intimidate by showing itself so close to its prey. "Those eyes, just appeared."

I think he did it to intimidate Mac and Dillion.

Answer: Its the old predator design. Look closely the optical silhouette, it doesn't match. Google early predator design.
