Shawn Interrupted - S6-E6

Trivia: There is a scene where Shawn, Gus, and Vivian are sliding in an open hallway trying to hide from the orderly who is taking Bernie on the elevator to his lobotomy at the mental facility. The scene is a total re enactment of The Breakfast Club movie scene where Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, and Anthony Michael Hall are sliding in an open hallway trying to hide from Dean Paul Gleason when they broke out of detention. Molly Ringwald guest stars in this episode too. (00:34:15)

The Break-Up - S8-E10

Trivia: At the end of the episode Shawn and Gus show up at Jules' crime scene and she tells them they already have a detective who is in the kitchen alphabetizing, likely a nod to USA Network's OCD Detective Adrian Monk from the show "Monk" which was set in San Fransisco.

Cloudy...Chance of Murder - S1-E12

Trivia: This episode was remade in the final season, titled "Remake, aka Cloudy...with a chance of improvement". The cast and crew considered it to be the weakest episode made in the series, and wanted to improve on it.

Gus Walks Into a Bank - S3-E8

Trivia: Alan Ruck, who plays the bank robber, is (arguably) best known for his role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, where his character's name is Cameron. In this episode, Ruck plays a bank robber who takes hostages, including Gus. The SWAT commander that attends the bank robbery (a character who hasn't existed before) is named Cameron. Possibly a deliberate choice given Psych's frequent pop culture references. ADDITIONAL: Series 8, Episode 3 - Ruck co-stars as a news weatherman; when Shawn introduces himself, he says .".and this is Gus, my black Cameron" - a much more clear reference to the Ferris Bueller character.

Trivia: There is some sort of reference to a pineapple in almost every episode of the show.

Shawn Interrupted - S6-E6

Trivia: Bernie Bethel reprises his role as a mental patient in this episode. It is reminiscent of his role as a mental patient in One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest where he played Billy Bibbit.

Burton 'Gus' Guster: I can't spend the night in the museum. I don't have my toothbrush, I don't have my multi-vitamins, and oh yeah, I don't want my soul suffering eternal damnation for disrupting the sleep of an Egyptian canal digger.

Psych the Musical - S7-E15

Question: This episode aired after the chief was fired and after Juliet found out Shawn wasn't a psychic, but the chief is in it and Juliet doesn't know he's faking, so was this episode shot before season 7, and just aired after?

brianjr0412

Chosen answer: "Psych: The Musical" was supposed to air during the regular season 7 schedule, before Chief Vick is suspended and Jules discovers Shawn's lie, but the network decided to push it back to air as a special episode, sort of as a tie in with the holiday season and a lead in to season 8, which was to begin only a couple of months later.
