Magnum, P.I. (1980)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: In front of the King Kamehameha Club, Magnum gets forcibly escorted in by two yoyos. There are two women going outside when this is happening; one is wearing a beautiful blue gown and has a bracelet and a clutch bag. One of the first people who walk by Yoshio Mizamura's table, inside the club, is the same woman. (00:32:45)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: Magnum gets back to the party, where a policeman is interrogating Cindy Lewellyn. When he signals to her to cut the interview short and join him, there are two girls by him, with Asian features and recognizable dresses. Those same girls walk by Cindy, first one, then the other in a different shot, and yet never leave Magnum's side. (00:27:00)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: When Floyd runs away from his banged up car in the middle of traffic, check out of the sidewalk to the right of the screen; there's a guy with light blue bathing shorts and a towel on his shoulder. Floyd bumps into him on the sidewalk that is at the opposite side of the road. (00:26:00)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: The editing of Floyd's accident-inducing drive is all wonky. He cuts the path of a SkyHawk, and already the footage from the back of the car is at wrong distance; given the relative speeds it's way too close. Floyd's slalom continues and goes on and on, but when he stops, the part of the road he's in does not match at the cut, and you can see behind him the exact same SkyHawk as before. (00:25:40)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Revealing mistake: After the shootout at the Ponzi scheme party, Floyd drives his prehistoric Honda in traffic with Magnum at his side. "Magnum" does not have his moustache - it's just some big guy in a Hawaiian shirt they put there as body double without even a fake stache. (00:25:00)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: Magnum pulls over at the airport; a woman with a curly long hair, brown pantsuit, creme shirt and sunglasses is on the sidewalk by him. First person that comes out from the flight with Magnum's client; same woman. And you could tell she was also in the sequence when he was running (you don't see her face but the briefcase and shoes match, along with the rest). Other extras are recycled anyway, such as the petite grey lady with the purple dress who walks in opposite directions also when Magnum and his client leave the airport. (00:10:30)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: Floyd parks his car next to a Cadillac Eldorado with FLOWER license plate. He parks casting a shadow on the front of the car, including the whole hood. He has a brief chat with the Japanese mobsters, and after barely two minutes, the shadow on the Cadillac shrunk. (00:02:00 - 00:04:30)

All Roads Lead to Floyd - S1-E13

Continuity mistake: Yoshio Mizamura nods at the terms offered by Floyd. In the background, one person is sitting in a golf cart. The burly goon relays the response to Floyd, and suddenly nobody is driving that golf cart anymore. (00:03:05)

Thicker Than Blood - S1-E12

Plot hole: The villains need to smuggle a bunch of drugs in the island. Their brilliant plan is; bring along a junkie who is wanted by the Navy but happens to have a friend who flies a chopper, trust that this guy will risk his life for the junkie to go get him at night and smuggle him in the country, and load the guy's heli with drugs while he's on the ship to fetch the junkie. Then, as he's flying the helicopter full of drugs, rat him out to the coast guard so they arrest him, ruining him so his chopper gets on auction, and they can buy the chopper back, with its load of drugs. There's just so much wrong with this plan already (why do everything so he's caught? The drugs can be retrieved later at night from the super-easy-to-reach compartment), add to that the fact that they even give as send-off to the junkie a giant bag of drugs, worth easily in the 6 figures; if they catch a drug addict with such a load of dope, they are bound to search the chopper - but really, they should have anyway.

Thicker Than Blood - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: Magnum is dosing tabasco into the thing his girlfriend makes him prepare; notice he's wearing his team ring with the proper orientation (two arms of the cross of Lorraine closer to his hand). When he pushes the button of the mixer, the ring is upside down. (00:14:40)

Thicker Than Blood - S1-E12

Continuity mistake: Magnum is following the icky instructions for a protein drink left by his unseen girlfriend with the golden voice. Somehow from eggs, flat beer and tomato juice, the result is a green mix. He is blending it in close-up on the table (the wood texture is a tell), but he recovers the goop from a different piece of furniture with a sink. (00:14:40)

Factual error: Justice in Hawaii works at a breakneck pace; TC is jailed and goes on trial instantly, which is fine, but also his impounded chopper goes for auction within a couple hours as well.
