Kong: Skull Island

Corrected entry: When the group leaves the ship in the helicopters, Samuel L. Jackson says "see you at the rendezvous, captain" to a guy wearing gold oak leaves, either a major or a commander, but not a captain in anyone's military.

Correction: He doesn't say "captain", he says "Chapman."

LorgSkyegon

Corrected entry: At the end, Hank is drinking a Budweiser long-neck - they weren't introduced until the 90's.

Correction: The "industry standard bottle" aka the North American long neck bottle was made the standard for nearly all large NA brewing companies in 1992 but had existed for decades by that point. The Budweiser long neck (precursor to the ISB) was introduced in the 1970's - you can even find the original commercial aired in the 70's online.

Corrected entry: Packard and group are crossing the graveyard looking for a missing soldier. While getting attacked somebody has the flamethrower. The flamethrower wasn't seen anywhere else in the movie. (01:20:00 - 01:21:00)

Correction: Just because it had not yet been used doesn't mean that they didn't have the flamethrower all along.

wizard_of_gore

Corrected entry: While in her darkroom, Mason Weaver is shown looking at some 35mm film that has the marking "Kodak 400TX" on the edge. Kodak Tri-X film was not available in 1973.

wizard_of_gore

Correction: Actually it was introduced in 1954 for 35mm. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodak_Tri-X.

ctown28

Corrected entry: During the final fight between Kong and the big Skull Crawler, Kong has the girl in his right hand. The Skull Crawler wraps its tongue around Kong's right arm, the fight ensues. Kong rears back and pulls the Skull Crawler's tongue and insides out of its mouth, still holding the girl. Point of view cuts to foreground and we see the Skull Crawler fall, lifeless, to the ground while Kong standing in background with his right hand open. Seconds later, Kong opens his right hand to set the girl down.

Correction: Kong used his left hand to grab then throw the Skull Crawler behind him. His right hand was still holding the girl.

Corrected entry: On the ship there are six helicopters, 1 at the front, 4 in the middle and 1 at the back, but when they take off and fly to the island there are now 11 helicopters and an infinite number of soldiers.

Correction: There are a total of nine helicopters. One in front, five on the main deck, and three on the aft deck (including the two in the hangar).

That still doesn't equal 11. I believe there are actually 11 Hueys, a Sea Stallion and a Chinook flying into the storm.

Factual error: In the scene at the Bangkok docks, the ship has the name Athena but with the Greek letter Lambda instead of each capital letter A. This would make the name something like Lthenl, and is a nonsense mix of Greek and English (Roman) letters.
