Bug: In multiplayer Battle mode, you can keep shooting Green Shells over and over again which will forever bounce around the track if they don't hit a player, another shell or item, or environmental hazard. If you have enough Green Shells bouncing around, the game begins to not be able to handle all the activity and the smoke behind the shells will disappear.

Other mistake: Zombies - Origins: On this map only, there is a power up you can get called Zombie Blood that will make the player invisible to zombies for a short period of time. When under the effects, the player cannot hear any sounds in the environment around them, no gunfire or other zombies, except their own character's voice and grunts. That is how the power up works. If playing on split screen, and the second player gets Zombie Blood, the effects happen this way as normal and the first player is not affected. However, if player one gets it, the sound is also muted on the second player's screen as well.

Plot hole: Nick Fury is talking with The Silver Surfer after Magneto has been defeated. Nick asks for ideas on how they can save the Earth, and the Silver Surfer states that they need his board. Nick asks what Doctor Doom wants with it, Silver Surfer says something about Loki and the power cosmic. With almost no chance of saving Earth, Nick decides to put in an outside call and has Agent Hill call Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. The scene switches over to the Baxter Building where Magneto crashes through the roof and Agent Hill then calls them and says to them "This is Agent Hill from S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Fury is in urgent need of your assistance. Agent Coulson is on his way to pick up Magneto." There is no way Agent Hill, Agent Coulson, or even anyone who works at S.H.I.E.L.D. could have possibly known Magneto was going to crash through the Baxter Building roof. Magneto had only crashed through the roof a few seconds prior to the call and they had no idea the precise direction in which Magneto was falling in. Agent Hill established through the call that Coulson was already on his way over to the Baxter Building, so even if Agent Hill had seen Magneto on the floor through the call, there is still no way she could have gotten the word to Agent Coulson that Magneto was there anyway.

Other mistake: If you change your class of character after you die and go back to look at your body, it will have changed to the class you are now. For example if you are playing as a Spy and get killed, then change to a Pyro and go back to where you were killed, your previous body will still be there, it will now be a Pyro.

Factual error: When scanned, some women say "I'm afraid of Virginia Wolf", as a homage to the play "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" The play was first performed in 1962 and the film was released in 1966. The game is set in 1957.

Suggested correction: Virginia Woolf was a well-known author years before the game takes place; although the title is referenced, it was meant as a joke and thus cannot be considered an anachronism.

Bug: On custom stages, if you have the springs set up, there is a glitch with them that occurs with Meta Knight's final smash. If he is in the middle of using his final smash, and any other player happens to touch a spring during that, they instantly freeze and are unable to move until the final smash is over. And it seems to somehow amplify the effects of the smash on the frozen players.

Bug: Scream Fortress 2014 - Carnival of Carnage: once the tickets are successfully taken to the top of the Strong Man game, Marasmus will send all players into a team decided bumperkart death match. But also on this map Marasmus will periodically cast one of three spells over all players, one of which is underwater mode. Well it's actually under Jarate, but it's technically still called underwater mode. The system for Marasmus' spells runs independently of the bumperkart system and they sometimes overlap. But the spells are not supposed to affect the bumperkarts. However, if Marasmus happens to be casting a random spell, and that random spell is underwater mode, and is cast at the exact moment everybody is sent to the bumperkart track, a glitch happens where the bumperkart track is underwater mode as well. This causes zero gravity which makes dying almost impossible, and if the bumperkart game happens to be Falling Platforms, then the match will carry on indefinitely until a full team either leaves the server or swims down to the teeth for suicide. It also makes Duck Collection and Bumpercar Soccer extremely difficult to play. In bumperkart games, any Marasmus spells that happen to be cast as the bumperkart match starts (Big Heads, Melee Only, or Underwater) will linger in bumperkart mode without a time limit. Big head does not really effect the bumperkart games, and melee only has no effect at all, but underwater is a total game breaking game changer.

Bug: In the Aztec bonus mission, you can trick Jaws easily by leading him to the stairs room. He can't see past the sides of the stairs, as if there is a wall there. You can shoot him, and he moves, but he can't see or shoot at you unless he is on the same set of stairs as you.

Bug: During the mission "Davis Unit" after I made the airborne fortress retreat, I was using a Fregeta and I managed to destroy a bridge with two tanks nearby it. The rear tank stopped as it should have, but the second tank actually drove across thin air and managed to reach the center of the gap where the bridge was. After that, it promptly fell to its death.

When they land on him and explode all the walls will be covered in red paint (presumably blood) even on the ceiling - this should not be happening.
