Doctor Who

Day of the Daleks: Episode Two - S9-E2

Trivia: David Troughton, who plays King Peladon, is the son of the Second Doctor, Patrick Troughton. Both Troughtons had previously appeared together in the Season 6 (1969) story 'The War Games'; Patrick Troughton as the Doctor, and David Troughton in the minor part of a soldier called Private Moor. Additional trivia point: David Troughton shared a flat with future (Sixth) Doctor Colin Baker at the time of the making of 'The Curse of Peladon' (January 1972).

Day of the Daleks: Episode Four - S9-E4

Trivia: This Doctor Who story, first broadcast between April 8th and May 13th 1972, is called "The Mutants." However, the second ever Doctor Who story, first broadcast December 21st 1963 to February 1st 1964, was also known as "The Mutants." Looks as though no-one bothered to check if the title had already been used... of course, since that serial later came to be called "The Daleks", that likely explains it.

The Three Doctors - S10-E1

Revealing mistake: (Part 4) After Omega takes off his mask and looks in the mirror, when he sees that his physical body doesn't exist he puts his mask back on and screams, but when he shouts, "If I exist only by my will, then my will is to destroy," Omega's mask pops up off his face, and we can see the actor's blackened face as he shouts the last bit of his dialogue. Question: In which season and episode is Gallifrey destroyed, or is it just a shocking new plot development for the new series?

Answer: It was never destroyed on-screen; it was intact at the end of the TV movie, and destroyed by the start of the 2005 series. It was destroyed in the novel "The Ancestor Cell," but in a completely different manner to what happened in the series.
